Well, it seems he has lost his touch. His contract is pretty steep too.

Not to mention he lost his mind when he cheated on Vanessa Williams...

^ now that Gary is gone and our chances of even making the playoffs are slim, I highly doubt Karl will be back.

PG: Chucky Atkins / Marcus Banks / Luke Walton
SG: Kobe Bryant / Kareem Rush / Caron Butler
SF: Lamar Odom / Caron Butler / Devean George / Luke Walton
PF: Brian Grant / Slava Medvedenko / Chris Mihm / Lamar Odom
    C: Vlade Divac / Chris Mihm /

IL: Brian Cook / Sasha Vujacic / ??

I along with a lot of other people think Sasha will become a good player, but I think he'll start off on the IL and sit there for the most part of the season. The Lakers were high on Luke Walton last year, and that final spot on the 12 man roster is probably between Walton and Sasha. Because Luke Walton is more experienced after last year, I think they Luke will fill that spot.

Malone in Miami, he will not wanna be w/ Kobe and he will accept mid-level to be w/ Shaq.

If the decision was based on who he wanted to play with, he would probably rather play with Kobe than Shaq. They were very good friends last season and they seemed to like eachother a lot. But Malone's decision will have to do with either loyalty to the Lakers for his word ( which I doubt is enough to keep him in L.A. because they've traded away Shaq and now G.P. ) or go to a title contender. If he does decide to come back, I think it will be for a ring. He has a MUCH better chance of winning a title in San Antonio rather than Miami. I don't think Miami will even make it out of the East to be honest. I think he will be a Spur next season.

Laker fans stop doubting our team. We have a great coach, young stars, and I still believe the Lakers are going to be better than what everyone expects. Losing Gary wansn't such a big loss. We needed another big man. Now we have it.

Do you guys think marcus banks has a shot at starting ahead of chucky atkins at the point?
my lineup would look like this:
    PG- banks/atkins/vujacic
    sg- kb8/rush
    sf- caron/george/walton
    pf- lamar/grant/slava/cook
    c- vlade/mihm/grant

i like the depth we have especially at power forward and center

That sounds reasonable except that you put Walton at SF and PG. Sorry but he would be THE absolute slowest PG in the history of the NBA. Has the skills of a PG but lacks the athletic ability.

Amen to that. Maybe I'm a little biased because I'm a Laker fan but I truly believe they'll exceed expectations.

i agree with you 100% i think the whole league and the fans are thinking oh shaq is gone were done were going no where i think thats pure bull. our team has a ton of young healthy talent just waiting to be coached and formed together into a great team

i do not doubt kupchecks abilities at all, he was able to put 4 future all stars on the same team last season he helped the lkaers bring in 3 championships and he is doing a great job so far handleing the lakers rebuilding

Are you still upset that the Lakers knocked out your Houston rocket team in the first round. I dont even want to talk about the Wizards. hehe

^^ well organized, i expect the lineup to look like that as well but i think itd be better if they put Grant at PF and had Butler comin off the bench
Odom at PF in the West or East would get eaten alive in most cases....

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting YaoMing03-04:</div><div class="quote_post">Lakers suck</div>

what kinda pointless post is that?
funny you say Lakers suck when Houston has no depth whatsoever and Wizards havent made the playoffs once since like....97?
    nice....
