PG: Bryant / Atkins / Banks / Sasha SG: Butler / Bryant / Sasha SF: Odom / Butler / Walton PF: Grant / Slava / Cook C: Vlade / Mihm / Slava i have a feeling devean will be dealt in combination with rush (rush being the young player with upside and a small contract to justify someone taking georges contract). who knows, maybe rudy t has the balls to put a lineup out there to start games that has an average height of 6'9.

If Rudy does let it happen, who knows it might work out great.

Im wondering why some Laker fans are doubting playoffs? I mean, Kobe is still on the team. RudyT has rings, and the 3 players from Miami were part of that amazing deep playoff run at the end of last season. It's going to be tough with SA reloaded tho, I belive that they will be the team to beat next season.
Starting Lineup -------------- PG - Atkins SG - Bryant SF - Odom PF - Grant C - Divac Off the Bench ------------- PG - Banks SG - Rush SF - Butler PF - Walton C - Mihm 11th & 12th men -- George & Slava IR - Vujacic, Cook, Bobbitt If the Lakers are able to sign Karl Malone, he will be the starter and Grant will come off the bench. They will likely cut Bobbitt or Cook. I still think the Lakers have another deal in the works, because of the log jams at the Point Guard and Small Forward position. I imagine they are waiting for Malone to make a decision on their next trade.

He's been considered a bust and an injury waiting to happen, and of course a dope head. Not until last season with the Heat, did he start to silence some of his critics. No one is expecting him to come to the Lakers and lead them deep into the playoffs with Kobe. He's just going to be another young building block to support the franchise player.

Let's take a look... Webber - wow, this guy was an all-star...not a bad player really though Peja - great shooter, close to a scoring title for a while last season Bibby - one of the best shooting PGs in the league IMO Miller - not a bad center for his size Okay...why can't this team win? Haha. Let me say this...these guys are good players, except Webber is fragile, Peja can't do anything else BUT shoot, Bibby doesn't know how to distribute the ball at the right time, and Miller is just a punk. Go Queens! :thumbsdow
No Kidding. I dont ever remember anyone overrating Odom in my life. Most say he is just a "GOOD" player. Overrated? haha. That makes me laugh. Find articles supporting this "OVERRATED" Odom your talking about. Peja is overrated. He plays pathetic defense, and has been a choke artist for years..
Wow you people really know how to rip on peoples favorite teams. Whenver someone says "Lakers suck" or something like that you just say their favorite team sucks, but im a more inteligent way. But you seem to forget the Rockets and the Queens are currently better than your team. Anyway this is what It'll be C-Vlade"Flopper" Divac PF-Brian Grant SF-Lamar Odom SG-Kobe Bryant PG-Chucky Atkins 2nd string PG-Sasha Vujanic(I think they should give him playing time so he can improve) SG-Kareem Rush SF- Caron Butler PF-Slava Medvedenko C- Chris Mihm Wild Cards Devean George Luke Walton IR list Brian Cook Marcus Banks

Starting 5: PG: Atkins SG: Bryant SF: Odom PF: Grant C: Mihm Bench Butler Walton Rush Vujacic Banks Medvedenko Divac If there's any considerations to get Jason Kidd, then we'll have arguably the best backcourt tandem in the NBA, but if we're going with a point guard of Atkins or Marcus Banks, I feel that will be our weakness because there just isn't depth in that position, and we'd be better off giving Gary Payton another chance at the point if we didn't send him to Boston. We all know how important Kobe is to the Lakers and we should all be grateful that he came back and resigned with us, although he did make us sweat it out. Our major upgrades are at the small forward position. I was watching clips of Lamar Odom back when he was with the Heat last year, and this guy was just dunking over people. He has excellent athleticism and easily can average 15-18 points a game in my opinion. Caron Butler can do the same too. If Caron can be healthy this year, and have glimpses of his rookie year, we'll be just fine. At the power forward and center positions, Brian Grant has a big salary and who knows whether his knees will be a factor this season? All I ask out of Brian Grant is to dominate the glass and be the Brian Grant he's capable of being in Portland. Those days may be behind him, but it's not a problem to have hope. And as for our center position, the Flopper has yet again returned to Los Angeles, but I feel he needs to come off the bench for the younger Chris Mihm. I know Vlade may still have his dazzling display of excellent vision and leadership, but the man looks like a crippled old guy moving up and down the court, and I'm definitely a huge fan of size and youth. So if I were to make a choice between Divac or Mihm, Mihm would be my pick. I'm still not sure whether or not our bench got better. Vujacic is a major question mark, and who knows whether he'll be an established point guard next season. I really haven't seen Marcus Banks' game all too much, who knows whether Devean George can play with a sense of confidence and aggression, Medvedenko is a shoot first power forward and one of the softest power forwards you could ever have on a team, and Kareem Rush, Luke Walton, and Brian Cook are projects at best with questionable signs for the future. I think the Lakers will be fine next year, but don't expect anything higher than a sixth seed at best.
^ Yeah, I had thoughts of changing my sig anyway. And regarding Fisher, if we had thoughts of trading Gary Payton away, why the heck did we allow Derek Fisher to get away?
Fish did want a lot of money but Laker should have kept him and I bet He's mad because he would have been the starting PG on Lakers for sure and you said Yes for me using your sig right i was thinking of making one of him but that was the only pic i could find
There is no way that the Lakers would've payed Fish anything close to what the Warriors are giving him. They're practically overpaying him. He isn't worth that amount of money at a time when we're trying to rebuild. I like the way the 1 is looking right now. With nothing guaranteed, they'll all play harder in order to earn the right to start.
