He does look the part. Somebody to keep our eyes on if we draft all 3 picks. One thing you've always got to look for is defensive IQ. For example Draymond Green had a fantastic DIQ coming out of Michigan St. It is something that usually translates over, and something that some players will never learn.
Here is the breakdown on who we need to root for tonight: (this would have been so much simpler if we had lost to the Spurs!) So, if you want the Blazers to end up with the best picks possible you should be rooting for: Cleveland to lose and Utah, Toronto, and LA to win Memphis to lose and Milwaukee to win—unless Cleveland wins (see variables below) Either Miami or Chicago to win Portland to lose (unless you just can’t bring yourself to root for that) Some variables: The Celtics are playing the Bucks, so the Bucks winning would help make sure the Blazers’ pick would be lower than 18, but by beating the Celtics they would make it possible for the Cavs’ pick to go up as high as 27 if Cleveland wins. The Hawks and Pacers are playing each other. A win by the Hawks can make the Memphis pick better, but a win by Indiana can make Portland’s own pick better. Tough to tell which one to root for there. http://www.blazersedge.com/2017/4/1...il-blazers-2017-nba-draft-picks-possibilities
Best case scenario after ties are broken are: 15, 19, and 23. Worst case: 18, 20, and 27. We should know this by the end of the week when all the ping pong balls fall into place. There are some teams in the lotto who don't need a group of younger players, but someone like SAC, DAL, or NY, who need all the talent they can get. I would look at moving a pick between 6-10 for all three of ours. If there is a particular guy in the middle of the lotto that we're targeting, we can probably move up with the picks we have. SAC traded #8 (Chriss) last year for #13 (PapaG) and #28 (Skal).
