    Meyers is one of the few players I've seen, where he really doesn't even look like he belongs on the court. He looks like he's panicing internally all the time. That little shuffle he does with his feet as a player blows past him on defense is embarassing. Even on offense, he'll get the ball and be like "should I shoot it should i shoot it, oh no a guy is coming at me.."

    It's got to suck for Meyers. There isn't a Portland fan who likes him or thinks he is worth a damn anymore. Wait, he's making $40 million...nevermind

    He's not instinctive. Everything he does, he has to think through like a word problem. That's way too slow for the speed of NBA games.

    He has tools, he just doesn't have the internal wiring for the game.

    Meyers ($10m/per) was outplayed JaVale (NBA minimum) in this series - even in a small sample size this is unacceptable.

    He's looking like the worst signing in Blazer history.

    Sorry, but I've seen some of his prospect tapes. There were GLARING issues there that still plague him today, which he hasn't fixed or addressed.

    It's the same reason why people passed over drafting Johnny Maziel: they saw his partying and immaturity and knew he would be a cancer to their teams. And the same reason why Jared Goff will probably be one of the biggest draft busts in NFL history.

    Coming out of College all Meyers could do was play D and dunk. Its so weird seeing him turn into what he is on the court now from what he was in college.

    Had more to do with the fact he was so short he missed easy throws all the time and would also wanted to chuck it down the field. He looked fast in college but then you looked at his 40 time and realized that most LB's could outrun him in the NFL so his scrambling ability wasn't worth as much as it was in college. The partying and immaturity were just nails in his coffin but he was never goign to be a good nfl QB.

    Strengths: Fluid, athletic 7-footer with developing all-around skills ... Excellent length on a good frame that will be capable of supporting more muscle ... Quick off his feet ... Strong body-control for a big ... Easy alley-oop target ... Explosiveness helps him blow by slower post players in transition ... Good offensive awareness ... Talented passer with good court-vision ... Does a lot of damage in the post at this level ... Willing to wrestle for good position near the block ... Uses his agility well to get around the rim, and is a quality finisher due to his athleticism ... Becoming a better outside shooter, and is dangerous when left alone from 12-18 feet ... Nice touch from the free-throw line; shouldn't be a liability there in the future ... Sells contact well (he's a good flopper) ... Defends with his body more than his hands ... Protects the rim well on defense ... Blocks a lot of shots ... Smart help-defender ... Gets his hands on a lot of rebounds, and is aware enough to tip-out to teammates when he can't corral one himself ... Usually does a good job of finding somebody to box-out whenever a shot goes up ...



    Did he get one thing right? Maybe the jumper...

    I don't blame Meyers for sucking. He showed us that he sucked for 4 fucking years till Neil decided to give him this contract. This is squarely on Neil, who is a cocky son of a bitch who massively over-rates himself..
