Tayshaun's been stepping up.I can see the Pistons coming back, to seven games, but as much as I love Detroit, I think this is Miami's series. Way too much depth in Miami. Payton, Posey, Alonzo along with Wade, Walker, Haslem, Jason Williams and the Big Diesel. But we're doing well right now.
Pistons are a much better team home-court, great away as well, but at another level when at home. Tonight belongs to the Pistons, although I want the Heat to win the series, I don't htink they will win tonight. Detroit is up by 4 at halftime currently, what the Pistons need to take over this game entirely is for Billups to start getting to the rim more, I understand that he is having a good assisting game (7 at half) but 5 points at half, that's not up to Chauncy standards, currently shooting 2-7. For the Heat to take this tonight, they need to shut down Tayshaun and Rip. Wade needs to become himself, and Shaq needs to get those rebounds. Not saying anyone's doing a bad job, just saying what they can do to improve in the second half tonight.
I think the Pistons have a chance of forcing a game 6 but I doubt they will take it.The Heat are a tough team to beat at home, and if the Pistons do win this game it's going back to Miami. The game has been close so far and hopefully we can make a late fourth quarter run since thats when the Pistons are playing worst.Miami in 6 is my guess here.In order to win we also need to cut down the turnovers, 9 turnovers so far is not a good sign.We got into foul trouble in the first quarter and hopefully we can avoid it for the rest of the game.
Although Game 6 really does scare me being in Miami in all. I still think we can pull out the series in 7.I BELIEVE!
Meh, Miami played like crap. I'm not a fan of either team, nor a hater of either of them. I can't believe that the Heat will continue to shoot 30% FTs or give away 16 turnovers. The Pistons still need to kick it up a notch if they want to win this thing.
Not a shock we lost this game, we had a list of things we did wrong. The free throw percentage speaks for itself at 30% while Detroit who is usually bad at free throws shot 88% from the line.Bad shot selection, uneccesary fouls in the fourth and just flat out bad execution lead us to lose this game.Shaq usually plays a lot better at home so I firmly believe we will win this tomorow. We aren't an easy match at home and we play alot better there then in Detoit.Rasheed with the usual horrible game and Tayshaun(MVP for Detroit) with another great game.
What Miami has to do is win in Game 6 or they're dead. What Detroit had to do is win Game 6 and they're pretty much locked for a win in Game 7.
^ Anything is possible, Miami could lose game 6 and still come out and win game 7. I really loved watching this game. We showed tons and tons of energy which lead to our great overall performance. We slowed Shaq down by attacking him in the 1st half and having him sit on the bench, and tried to trap him when he was cutting to the basket. The biggest difference to me was our motion offense, which we have been lacking, and that is to be nice, for the last two games. Miami showed a weakness on defense to our motion in the paint. Dyess, Sheed or Ben was open most of the time in the post after some of the motion plays were run, which lead to what we need most dunks or layups.Game 6 will be a classic. The Pistons play like they did last night then the Heat are in trouble.
Pistons brought huge energy today. Looks like they werent asleep this time around. They got Shaq into foul trouble, which is the key to beating the Heat, and guys like Rip and Ben Wallace played good defense and got some steals and blocks. Nice game for Detroit.
Anyone else getting sick of this? One team shows up, next night they don't...ect...it's driving me nuts.
The Pistons played well in Game 5 I'll give them that but that was all because of the fans, on Friday the fans at American Airlines Arena will be pumped up and the Heat will take the series. If we lose at home I better get my Pistons sig ready
Miami lost game 5 due to the lack of hitting open shots. And im talking about Udonis Haslem. Hes missing shots that he usually drills. It will be interesting to see if the Pistons will cheat off of him and give him the shot. If they do that and he finds his stroke, Pistons are royally screwed.
