Garnett was on the NBA All-Defensive Team in every one of those years except 1998, and Rasheed wasn't on any of them Mike and Mike homerism in this thread
I know Sloan didn't vote for him
Watching highlights of that Blazer team makes me sad realizing how far we are from getting to that level. Here's the full fourth quarter of a 2000 WCSF game vs UTA: That team had everything. sigh.
Lucas had a stiff body like a center. Sheed had an elastic body like a guard. Rasheed Wallace was much better. Bob Whitsitt built it and Sheed haters, a minority who controlled public opinion, demanded it be blown up.
Ah, another Sheed thread. Love him (as I did) or hate him, he mattered, as these threads attest. barfo
Ask the woman that he rough up how many ways she loved that jerk. Add me to the list that says the best thing about him is that he's gone. Wallace had a post game? Go Blazers
This isn't the incident I was talking about, but similar: http://carolinasucks.com/images/rsrasheedwallace.htm The incident I was referring to used to be in Wiki. It isn't there any more. It was a different woman, and Wallace pleaded no contest to roughing her up. He got community service. I linked that story several times over the years. Wallace was a talented putz. EDIT: I knew there was a reason I didn't want to link to the Bryant episode. He was found not guilty on those charges. http://www.nytimes.com/keyword/rasheed-wallace I'll look for a link, but it seems to have been scrubbed. Go Blazers
He was on trial for blocking the ex-girlfriend with his car? No mention of actually injuring her. It was at the 1-year-old's daycare, so it looks like he was trying to see his baby. It happened in April, Bob Whitsitt traded Strickland and Grant for him July 15, and he was found not guilty in September. It looks like we can thank the legal charge for temporarily devaluing him.
