Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Fuck OKC! Lakers dominating them by 28 points in the 3Q.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Should have played this way from the get go. Drew and Pau are unstoppable. Kobe as creator is unstoppable. And who the hell still wants Ariza? Artest has made Durant miserable through the series so far. And for the record, Artest hit a higher % from 3 land this year than Ariza did.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) This reminds me of the Rockets series last year. Hopefully we don't have a letdown next game, let's win in 6, no game 7. Also, did anyone see the look in Ron Ron's eyes today? He finally looks serious, and looked much better tonight on the court. Shaved his head too, no more gimmicks. It's time for serious business.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) He had a nice poster dunk, too. He was a lot more aggressive, I loved it. We'll win in 6 if we keep feeding the post.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) FUCK! The only game I didn't see is this dominating one we just had! BAD LUCK!!!
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) then he should better get that thing looked at as well as every other fucked up part this summer. no to the world championships!
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) Yeah, I won't. I always get bad luck. LOL it sucks! I didn't see game 1 too and we won by double digits.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Sorry I didn't get more info, and also don't have a PhD. ;]
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) Lakers needed this blowout.. They stuck to the gameplan and fed their big men and it blew the game wide open. I wish the Lakers would play this way every night. Our size down low is such a huge advantage. They need to exploit it every f(cking game. Simple and effective. It wins championships. Odom and Artest on the floor at the same time was an interesting move. I'd like to see more of that.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) The regualr season is just a long drawn out practice. The playoffs are where its at. I know Ariza didnt come on and start playing really well until the end of last season but he shot 47% from 3 and 50% overall during the playoffs. Artest is shooting 19% from 3 so far and 35% overall. To be fair those stats only reflect 5 games but they are what they are. Now the Ron Artest from last night, I'll take him over Ariza any game. Hopefully his success from game 5 will jump start him for the rest of the playoff run.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) Uh, no. I'd take the regular season sample over the playoff sample. Ariza is not even close to a 47% shooter. He went on a hot streak last year and he clearly came back down to earth this year.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) Its all about roles. Ariza grew into his with the Lakers last season as that guy that consistantly knocked down big shots in the most crucial of times. He went from being a far 4th or 5th best player on his team last season to one of the best on the Rockets behind Brooks and Scola this season. He didn't have Kobe pulling double teams and getting him wide open looks and thats the main reason his numbers dropped. We all know he would have had a much more productive season had he remained with the Lakers. And since you brought up the regular season numbers lets not pretend like Artest's offensive numbers were far greater than Ariza's. Artest shot only a couple percentage points higher than Ariza did in both 3 pointers and overall fg%. Not to mention that Ron got far better looks the entire season while Ariza was asked to be one of the primary scorers. I watched enough Rocket games living here in Houston to see it. The jury is still out on Artest IMO.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) We didn't sign Artest for his offensive production, did we? We didn't need Ariza for his offensive production, either. We've got plenty of that in Kobe, Gasol, and Drew. We brought in Artest simply because Ariza would be eaten alive by the likes of Durant, LeBron, Pierce, Melo, etc... Expecting Artest to be an offensive magician this year was just plain ignorant. He's never been a lights out shooter, so there was no reason to expect that. Factor in his feet issues and his hand injury that have plagued him and of course his shooting is going to be weak. His defense is still solid, though...more solid than Trev's would have been on Durant.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) I never said I expected Artest to perform magic tricks out there on the court. Only to knock down wide open looks. I can't be the opnly one that cringes when he gets the ball in his hands as of late. And no we didn't sign him for his offense but missing shots and being no offensive threat whatsoever' changes the whole game and in some cases can negate even great defense. I will give you the fact that he has had some injuries but sometimes I think everyone stacks up poor play to injuries a little too much. Most of the guys in the NBA have nagging injuries. Thats just part of it. And IMO we did need Ariza for his offensive production last season during the playoffs. Had he missed some of the shots he made the Lakers might not be defending champs this season. He contributed more than your giving him credit for.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) Durant had another tough night, Moo's guy is really struggling. ;] Ron's just so terrible offensively, but I don't have much of a problem with him right now. I think we are struggling a bit because our star is injured, that's all. Otherwise we wouldn't be worrying about anything.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 3-2) I agree. Kobe's my biggest concern. The Lakers could possibly win in spite of Fisher, Artest, and all the other guys we complain about if Kobe is Kobe. The Lakers can't win in spite of Kobe if he isn't himself.
