<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (vikingfan)</div><div class='quotemain'> Every good running back has an offensive line to thank in the end. If Priest continues tearing up the league like he is right now, then yes, he'll be in the hall of fame. The fact is, he has absolutely dominated for the past few years. Any player that dominates like he does year in and year out deserves the hall. I don't think there is any real test to determine who gets in the hall, but setting the record for most TD's in a season is pretty important.</div> Not every good back has a good line. Barry sanders did not have a good line(not that it mattered) for many of his years in detroit. Walter Payton started behind some of the worst line ever. His first game he rush for 0 yards. Several of his teammates said he had to break 20 tackles to get that. The line did get better but was never like the ones Emmitt and Priest and Lewis are running behind. It is also a lot easier to block now, they let you do so much more. I think if you are going to compare a modern RB to a older RB he better have been 33% more productive in a similar stretch of time.
