It's going to be an interesting season, predicting playoff seedings will be even more difficult this year. Teams with good talent Lakers, Suns and Jazz for example may not even make the playoffs. I fully expect Spurs, Wolves, Kings and Mavs to be locks for the playoffs like every season but after that, It really is a toss up for the final 4 positions.

I agree with ALLNET, this is going to be the most competitive season out West for teams. The Spurs, Kings, and TWolves are locks for me, as well as the Grizzlies. The Mavs went through a lot of changes in the off-season, so I'm not ready to include them as a top four team until I see how this new squad plays together. I'm skeptical on how Dampier will play this upcoming season and how the team does without Nash.

Across the board every team in the West has a shot at making the playoffs. The Clippers, Hornets, Sonics, and Warriors will be hard pressed to make the post-season, but each squad has the talent to fight for an 8th seed.

The middle of the pack you have the Rockets, Nuggets, Lakers, Suns, Jazz, & Blazers. It's going to be a dogfight and I can't wait for the season to tipoff.

I was confident with the Lakers making the playoffs a month ago, but the recent offcourt distractions and them not being able to sign Malone yet have me worried they might finish 9th in the West.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dallasdude:</div><div class="quote_post">Aww...Come on. Mavs cant finish as low as 8th!!! Can you please explain why? And Suns finishing ahead of Memphis to make playoffs? Jeez... I place Mavs anywhere between 4-6. If Mavs-Lakers play first round I'd like Mavs in 6.</div>
Well, I will admit that I placed the Mavs lower than I should've. I wasn't thinking about Howard, Daniels and Stackhouse. I guess I've been concentrating on the Lakers a lot during this offseason.

As for the Suns over Memphis...haha...I guess I didn't include the Grizz in there either [IMG] so actually, I'm going to edit my first post...
