I am going to wait to vote, until there has been more than 7-9 games played for each team. If I had to vote today based on what I have seen so far this season though, my picks would be:East:Michael ReddJoe JohnsonLebron JamesChris BoshDwight HowardWest:Chris PaulKevin MartinCarmelo AnthonyZach RandolphYao Ming<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SunnyD @ Nov 15 2006, 06:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Very questionable picks for the east. Do you want us to lose or something? Honestly, when did Zaza deserve to go to the All-Star Game? Speedy isn't deservent either. Joe Johnson doesn't really deserve votes as much as Carmelo, Chris Paul, Shawn Marion, Kobe, Lebron, etc.</div>Since he is playing in the east, I would say that he does deserve votes as much as those guys not from the east like Carmelo, Paul, Marion, Kobe and anyone else you can think of. I think he has been great over the first part of the season, and definately deserves a spot on the all-star team if he keeps up like playing like he is.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RaptorFan#1 @ Nov 15 2006, 09:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Y'all think Bosh will get the starting spot for the East?</div>Well, I'm voting LeBron and Pierce almost every time, but I know Pierce won't get the start. But the starting PF spot in the East is going to be between Bosh and Okafor. If I, personally, had to pick right now between them, I would take Okafor. He's putting up like 19/13 and 4 blocks, and they have beaten Cleveland and San Antonio on the road. Even wins aside, he's a force out there. And no doubt, I'm not taking anything away from Bosh, because he's been outstanding as well. He gets better every year. But with the way Okafor has come back and dominating the paint after only playing in about 20 games last year, I have to tip my hat to him right now. Also guys, I just realized something (actually Jon Barry pointed it out during the Kings/Grizzles game last night) - Kevin Martin isn't even on the All-Star ballot. The first time I voted, I put Brandon Roy as my write-in, but from now on it's Kevin Martin all the way.
im not voting yet but one problem I have..why do you vote for some scrub on your own team when he honestly doesn't deserve to go? and he obviously isn't going to winthe point of all star voting is deciding who's going to be playing for YOUR ENTERTAINMENTyou have a choice to put 2 of the best players in the game on the same team..stop picking hometown scrubs

Okafor is averaging 20 and 12 with 3.7 blocks. He was at 15 and 11 his first year, who's to say he didn't get better? I'd vote for him. I don't know why I votes G. Wallace. My picks are still full of homer-ness but I adjusted it a little bit. I voted for Garnett over Diaw and Okafor over G. Wallace. Also, Nash over Barbosa. Those are my votes for now...
Voting already? What is the point? I consider the All-star game for the players that are the best. I don't vote for my favorites or Marvin Williams would be going to the game. I think of being an all-star as an accomplishment for a good year in the NBA. Players work hard and not all of them are going to recieve awards at the end of the year, this weekend is about them and letting them show off for the fans. This is about having fun. In my opinion, this is a way for fans to appreciate the best players in the league. For us to say, good work, we think you were great and that is why you get to go.This shouldn't be about your favorite player in my opinion. That is why I am not going to vote until later in the season. If you want to support your favorite player, go out and buy their jersey. The jersey sales and other merchandise sales show who has the most fans, let's keep it that way. In my opinion, only the best of the season should be able to go to the all-star game.
