Tiago would be a great pick to anyone who has the balls to draft him.

EDIT: Hahaha, Dick Vitale and Stephen A. planned probably the loudest, most obnxious dinner date of all time.

Nice pick by the Lakers. I was hoping that (somehow) Crittenton would fall to the Sixers to reunite him with Thaddeus Young. Even after they pick a point guard last year, Crittenton has the potential to play the 2.

Yeah, I know that already, but contract or not he's going to be able to play very well in the league when he is able to come over. If the Spurs draft him then say hello to more championships, damn.

I think the Fran thing really scared teams off.

Its all about doing your homework. If they bothered to actually speak with Fran, they wouldn't have picked him. I know the Raptors spent a lot of time sorting out the buyout issue and making sure Bargnani was ready to come to the NBA, before they picked him last year.

What's wrong with Almond? Kid can shoot, I wouldn't mind picking Almond.

I'm pulling for Glen Davis though...

Still, there's some chances of them never returning regardless.

Homework was done on Frederic Weis and he never came and Milos Vujanic was supposed to be really in Europe but he still never came. Knicks have a history of getting burned by international prospects.

[IMG] "Mitch Kupchak looks like he's ready to cry".
    -Steven A. Smith

In other news, I really think that Billy King should be fired after trading for Jason Smith, another bad pick.

I'm going to leave the logos for Cook and Smith as they are until the trade is confirmed.

I'm loving this 76ers draft so far, we got a pretty good big man prospect in Smith and a potential future superstar in Young. I'm still hoping we take a proven guy like Byars or Almond with our next selection.

Why do you feel that way? He was projected to go right around here in most mocks and is a guy with size. I think Tiago is a better prospect but obviously King is scared by his contract. I think its been a good draft so far but we need to take a proven guy next.

I just got home from basketball practice. Who schedules a practice on the night of the draft? I was pissed. [IMG]

Anyways, I'm surprised by the Bucks pick. That was really risking and I wonder if Yi will sit out.

If I remember correctly, the Knicks wanted nothing to do with him after they saw how crappy he was in the Olympics. It was a terrible pick anyways.

A lot of these players didn't come over because the teams just decided that they weren't good enough, and that's because a lot of them were chosen in the couple years after Dirk/Gasol/Ginobli/Parker, when teams lost all rationality and went overboard with the foreign players. Like I said, its about doing your homework, and teams didn't do it then.
