Huge find with the second to last pick for the Suns. D.J. Strawberry will thrive in the Suns system. Great pick up considering it was the second to last selection.
<div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I get where you're coming from, but you have to understand that some GMs are too scared to get their hands dirty. Pritchard is a great man for going out and getting his feet wet tonight. he's proved that you can get what you want as long as you work your ass off and offer the right pieces to earn your keep.</div> Exactly, some general managers are afraid to get dirty and they just go through the motions rather than making a big impact and improving their team to the best of their abilities. How do those pansy GM's keep their jobs? If you're not willing to dive in and prepare for the draft or free agency or whatever, then you don't deserve to be in that position. I know tons of guys on JustBBall who would make a better general manager than some of these guys.

M Two One, seriously it would be you. You, shape, Voodoo, and Schaddy are all guys who I would feel confident in if they were running the show for my NBA franchise. You guys know more than half of these general managers and basketball isn't even your full time job. If Isiah Thomas can be a GM, you guys can.
<div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I've never heard of this guy, what are his qualities?</div> He tested as the best athlete in the Orlando pre-draft camp. He is the son of former MLB player Daryl Strawberry, Strawberry played four years at the University of Maryland, tough player with an NBA ready body. The east just became much better after tonight a couple all star caliber players coming to Charlotte, Boston, and New York is really going to help the competition in the conference. I expect the Atlantic division to be much more competitive next year I loved the picks Philly had drafting Thaddeus Young and finally getting Byars in the second round. The jury is out on Smith hopefully he comes in and shows he deserved to be picked with the 21st selection (technically 20th). The Bulls draft was solid, nothing I'm excited about, but at the same time it could have been much worse. Jordan completely screwed us, but I'm over it now. Can't wait for the FA period to start. Well it was a fun draft and I enjoyed sharing it with you guys.
<div class="quote_poster">Chutney Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Never really heard of him, dude. He's pretty quick, has a good feel for the game in general and knows what's going on at all times. He didn't seem to let anything get past him. He reminds of Nocioni, with a better touch (for NBA start) and more strength, but not nearly as good defensively or willing to take a charge by a big man. He will throw himself around the court though. He can adapt to different scenarios from what I know of and could be a threat in fast paced play. I don't see him playing much for a year or even two years, but down the road we may see another key foreigner for the Spurs.

Seriously, even though it was a bit anti-climatic, it was cool watching some of the GM's do their thing. And others fail horribly.

He played for Olimpia Laresa and was an alright scorer, could've been better, but that's why I put that he would be ready in two years or so. I think that we won't see him until possibly even around 25 years old. The Spurs are thinking way ahead and I give them big ups for that with this guy.

I'm amazed how they manage to maintain a flexible cap situation, while staying a major contender for all these years. Anyways, this was an awesome thread but I'm done for the night. See you guys later.

Well Philly traded the European stiff from Ukraine to the Jazz for the rights to Herbert Hill so I came away pleased with this draft for the most part. If we had taken Tiago I would have been much happier.
Ahh man, I didn't want Noah. I'm not saying he's going to be horrible, but it's not what the Bulls need. What are we going to do with a Wallace, Thomas, Noah rotation... they probably won't even be able to score 10 PPG down low combined. Actually maybe just on some dunks. But, we didn't need more defense. We passed on Aldridge last season to get Thomas who is the same type of player as Noah, if not better, just shorter. Then we sign Wallace. And now we pass up on the best post player in the draft, Hawes for Noah. Which is the same type of player as Wallace and Thomas. If we make the playoffs next season all the pressure is going to be on Hinrich, Gordon, and Deng just like last season and we lost in the semi-finals. I think this is the only bad move Paxson's made in his career. This doesn't help us get farther in our goal to reach the NBA Finals. Don't know what free agents are available. As for our second round picks, we selected Gray from Pittsburgh, not a bad selection, but he is really slow. Kyle Visser from Wake Forest would have been a nice pick. Maybe even Hill from Providence. And like we knew the Bulls were interested in JamesOn Curry and we selected him. Edit: Also this is probably the last season we will probably be in the lottery for a while hopefully, we would probably have to make a trade for a lotto pick. And if we wanted this low-post player we would either have to make a blockbuster trade or somehow sign a free agent. This was the last chance to draft a young post player they you could have developed.
