It was much more natural 2 years ago. Brady has thrown 4 or 5 picks in the end zone forcing it to Moss this year. I love Moss, but Welker has been a better player this year.
Moss caught 11 TDs with Matt Cassel, it is nothing surprising. He's the best Red Zone target in the league. They could have both made it to the Pro bowl. I just think if there is one spot you give it to the #1 option.
You're losing it, Moss is just as productive, White disappeared. Welker has 4 TDs, Chris Johnson has 14 total.
Pro Bowl is about one year. Johnson was better than White in 08 regardless of TDs, just like Welker is better than Moss in 09, regardless of TDs.
Welker has more yards, Moss is the #1 option and has most of the TDs and 1189 yards. You're saying it was awkward that Moss has so many TDs. He caught 11 from Matt Cassel who runs into a million sacks/fumbles, and isn't doing that well. Welker has done nothing this year to show he has ever been a better redzone target. Johnson scores in the redzone plenty, Welker doesn't. Chris was also in his rookie year.
What does Matt Cassel have to do with 2009? Again, the Pro Bowl is about one year only. TDs are an overrated stat. Get over it.
"Brady forces the ball to Moss in the end zone because he's scared of Moss quitting on the team." Yet Cassel had a similar TD ratio towards Moss and Welker. You brought up Chris Johnson, who actually scores in the Redzone and is the first option on his team. White hasn't done anything.
I brought up Chris Johnson because in 2008 he was similar to Welker in that he would do most of the heavy lifting on a drive, but then White would come in and get the TD. White was on the same team and had more TDs. It's a perfect example. Not sure why it's too difficult for you to comprehend. 2008 and 2009 are different years, brah. I don't know why you're obsessed with Cassel. My statement in your quotes was about this year, not last.
I kind of complimented both receivers, there's just not enough spots man. I don't think you can discredit Moss. Brady should be able to hit Moss easily for 13 more TDs considering what he did last year. I think it is relevant because it is part of a trend. Is Moss a one year wonder, or does he regularly catch TDs? That's my point. Yes I see the statement you were trying to make, but White is solely a TD producer while Moss is more well rounded. Chris carries his team while Moss carries his receiving core attention-wise at the very least.
