he's no Cliff Harris or Walter Thurman III physically as he has a very developed upper body. Unless he changes his training, this extra upper body weight won't help shadowing guys/changing direction on a dime, but it would help supporting the run & being physical... at this point he probably projects best at Safety

my favorite part of the articles I've read are claims that he's wanted to be a Duck for years... dude didn't take any other OVs

according to Rivals he's the 157th best overall HS prospect in the country. That would top many of Oregon's past recruiting classes, but not this year as they have both of Oregon's top OL commits rated ahead of him. Along with Sumler, the Duckies now have 4 guys rated in the top 250 overall prospects

it's turning into a big time class

Wow! Great posting, guys. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu looks full of potential. Could be a great CB (although I don't see a 40 time listed, he looks fast compared to other HS players) and if he puts on another 15 pounds of muscle (very likely) we might have another Pa-Chung in the backfield!

This class is coming together nicely. I think we'll have a lot of good news to talk about soon too!

Any idea on what safety position he projects as? Only reason I ask is cause I'm curious to how well he might mesh with Dargan another 4* safety who is redshirting this year

My guess isn't worth much. I don't know how big/fast he really is etc... but dude looks like he's wearing shoulder pads when he's in street clothes

the ducks rotate units on D so maybe they're both judged to be the same position on opposite units :dunno: They'll have plenty of time to sort this out later, but Dargan is listed as a little bit larger and seems pretty stout...

I love following athletes as they're coming up from one level to the next. From my prospective as a fan, it's sort of the same vicarious thrill as when a comic book superhero gains their powers for the first time.

adding Christian French would make me very happy... he's supposed to have declared last week so any day now. Ducks offered him as a TE/WR.

Also of note is that Lyerla is said to be attending today's practice

he'd said he was going to declare last week. That deadline obviously passed but I'd expect it to be soon. He's a major prospect and probably the next guy on the Ducks radar that does declare. Synopsizing his highlight tapes, dude is long and lean, gets after it, and can really fly.

as far as the likelihood of him going green and yellow, my heart hopes while my heads doubts... but isn't that always the case?
