Most recruiting sites think this guy is. http://insider.espn.go.com/college-...iting/player?id=88794&_slug_=jadeveon-clowney
Add the Serra Trio, Lyerla, Scarlett, and Blackmon and we may get close to having the best recruiting class in the country.
I don't know, but I'd say it's between us, Cal, USC, and Miami IMO. Maybe 40 percent. I thought USC was only allowed to give out 15 scholarships due to the sanctions. Well they have 16 commits so I don't see how the Serra Trio could all commit there. I'm not sure though.
Once again, I'm just speculating but I think they've kind of advertised themselves as a package deal. They've taken all of their OV's together except for when either it was Lee or Gibson that didn't go to Florida.
I feel the need, the need for DTs! not good as they probably don't all go to the same school... Gibson is supposed to have Cal and UCLA 1 & 2 & Farmer is supposed to be a USC lean. Of the three I'm most optimistic about Lee STOMP
Great news on Wallace! Looks like you hit it on the head Stomp when you talked about the Nike connection for his major And also wanting to play early and matthews and paysinger graduating
If we can snag at least one of either Barr, Heyward, McReynolds, Norton, or Shelton that would be awesome. Barr please
according to his HS coach, taking an official to USC when they played Oregon helped seal the deal STOMP
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-2602 4, 19, 46, 54, 87, 88, 96, 101, 111, 113, 133, 147, 150, 157, 159, 162, 165, 167, 170, 223, 231 there are actually a few that I left off because they seem to be real long shots STOMP
overall last season's class was probably the highest rated the Ducks have ever had yet this 2011 class has already matched that class's take of the ESPN top 150 players with 4... just saying STOMP
thats just the rivals site's rankings of overall HS talent... does the link not work for non-subscribers? In making up this list I don't think they have a hard criteria other then subjective opinion of who's size speed and game projects best. Of course it's hardly a definitive list of whats what as some top prospects will never materialize while other no-names excel and go on to NFL careers. Still fun to keep tabs on especially as the Ducks are in on more of the top recruits. STOMP
Oh, I was just curious how, say, ESPN comes up with their 150? Are there high school recruiting experts? I know guys like Chad Ford prided themselves on being experts on Euro prospects for the NBA Draft (I'm not sure if he still does that).
