interesting twist on the Byers commitment. http://oregon.247sports.com/Article/Oregon-adds-commitment-from-DL-Byers-12930
if Oregon is to primarily run a 3-4, then the three D Line spots are WSDE, NT & SSDE. rivals lists Byers as a SSDE which at 260 lbs coming out of HS seems a fair/conservative projection as you'd like to have the guy at that position around 275. Ideally a NT is around 300 lbs like Heimuli, Keliikipi & Ebert. STOMP
here is a link that should provide some insight into the exact science of recruiting a D1 Defensive Tackle/Nose Tackle STOMP
correct Thats what I was thinking when I saw him as a SSDE on Rivals. I just cant get the prototypical 4-3 out of my head as I'm so used to it lol. But yeah SSDE at around 275 I could def see happening.
Pac 12 North Recruiting Needs http://espn.go.com/blog/pac10/post/_/id/18556/pac-12-recruiting-needs-north-division
just in case anyone was wondering.. its Official.. Latu commits to ASU. Even though I dont think Oregon has been after him for a while. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Mo-Latu-100958
word is he won't qualify and will have to go the JC route. I guess schools do this to make their class look better on Signing Day while the player saves some face for the time being. Oregon was doing this just a few years ago. STOMP
Not that it's surprising but lee eliminates the Ducks http://oregon.247sports.com/Board/45/Marqise-Lee-cuts-Oregon-920690
I hope he's a Trojan and takes one of their few remaining scholarships giving the Ducks that better a shot at Simmons Dawson & Heyward STOMP
regardless of who USC gets into their program, Kelly >>> Kiffin it's not like the cupboards were void of talent when LK arrived... they've had top rated recruiting classes every year for the past decade. But while they've continued to sign a boatload of top rated talent this year, their O-Line depth is getting scary thin. If the NCAA ruling goes as expected, they could end up being leapfrogged by a lot of PAC-12 programs next season. Oregon's rise in recruiting has come as kids saw that they could win here. What will happen to USC when kids see that mediocrity is the new standard? I'm guessing the same thing that has happened to UCLA... have you seen their class thus far? STOMP
yeah UCLA's class is pretty pathetic to this point. The thing that still worries me though, is for some reason Slick Rick is a pretty strong closer. Although it would take a minor miracle, but I still am worried a little.
possible big time Sh*t going down here fellas. http://oregon.247sports.com/Article/Oregon-to-get-commitment-from-5-athlete-13457 http://wearesc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1902283#post1902283

sorry I normally dont get caught up in rumors, but man I love LOI Day and week and recruiting stuff! This kids highlights on D are better IMO.
he is listed as an ATH or CB by services... Think of it this way IMO Cliff Harris minus 3 inches (heightwise (I have to specify that with you)) and a 10th of a second faster in the 40.
aaaaand Cliff Harris was never the #5 Overall Prospect on the Rivals 100. He was #46... which is still good
