its also run by a bunch of Husky grads. I've noticed that for some reason UW recruits and prospects are consistently rated higher by Scout then Rivals. Maybe this bias I'm seeing extends to prospects who aren't considering the Huskies but will likely go to their conference rivals?

Interesting I wasnt aware of that. I did notice Dontae Williams for example went from 4* to 3* after he committed to the Ducks last year. hmmmmm

Further connecting the dots.... last year (2009) Scout rated Washington's recruiting class as having ten 4* while Rivals had them with five. Scout had Oregon with two 5* and six 4* while Rivals had them with one and ten

WR Kasen Williams is another example. Dude grew up in Seattle, both parents went to UW, & he's always been considered a strong Husky lean. Scout has Washington's new recruit as a 5* and the 4th best receiver in the land. Rivals, who doesn't have a rooting interest that I'm aware of, has him as a low 4* and the 13th best WR in the land. Some notables ranked below him on Scout include Oregon prospects Farmer #5 Blackmon #32 and Sumler #43... Rivals has the same 3 ranked 1, 6 (in the athlete category), & 20

lol thats pretty funny but pathetic. I always did think Rivals was a little more "professional" and better done than Scout. My only complaint with Rivals is I wish they had a Prospects list for each team like Scout does.

my goodness nevermind I figured out how to search my prospect recruits!! goodbye scout!!

I also love how Rivals has the attribute, followed by their rating at that particular thing.

    I.e. Seastrunk was

Speed- "As Good as it gets"
    Size - "division 1 player
    Strength - Blue Chip
Agility - As Good As It Gets
    Elusiveness- Blue Chip

Also I like the other players like this recruit feature

as a rivals subscriber I've noticed that the Low Medium High stuff isn't updated very often or seem much of a priority. Having read the articles and various insider's opinions, Oregon seems to be the one to beat for him. According to his quotes he wants to major in sports marketing and it's a priority for him to be able to play early. Oregon of course has a great sports marketing program with Nike inroads and Matthews and Paysinger are Seniors

So is it unlikely to get these guys to commit until LOI day?

most bigger recruits who have a bunch of options like to take all their visits, and weigh all their options yes. Most of the bigger ones dont commit till later in the process like at the Army Bowl, or Under Armor Bowl, or even as late as LOI day. Dont worry I plan on being sick that day to keep updated ;)

    QUACK!

    Go Ducks!

Every big time traditional program has got to start somewhere. They are going to talk about us like they talk about Bama's history now-a-days. In 30 years or so they will talk about this being the Oregon century (since 2000)!!!

    Or so I hope...
