elite Illinois DT Faith Ekakitie has booked an OV for the USC weekend... recent articles list him up to 6'3 and in the 280-290 lbs. range also, DJ Foster has pushed back the day he'll declare to Thursday Nov. 10 STOMP
I wish we were in on this guy I'm partial to adding more Boseko Lokombo/Ifo Ekpre-Olomu/Andre Y announcer pratfalls and this guy is also an Oden of sorts STOMP
good news on Shaq and Arik. The Ducks do pretty well closing when kids come in on an official. Chip hasn't been throwing those around loosely this fall. In the running for top player in the 2013 class (T.Tyner's) is a 6'5 270 DT from Georgia named Robert Nkemdiche. It a longshot, but Robert recently stated Oregon is in his early top 5 along with Alabama, Florida, LSU, and South Carolina. The bolded schools are his early top 3. This video below is all from the same game. STOMP
DJ Foster scored 10 TD last night. 7 Rushing and 3 Receiving http://www.maxpreps.com/news/Cvq-HgeMEeG-rAAmVebEWg/west-roundup-dj-foster-scores-10-rds.htm
going into last nights game, Foster had 138 carries for 1883 yards (13.6 average) and 38 TDs this year. STOMP
I'm hoping with ASU's embarrassing loss to UCLA tonight, Foster will see that Oregon is the right decision. I wish him the best no matter what.
turns out that he had 508 yards rushing on 20 carries. The 10 TDs were the most by any HS player since 1968 I'm guessing he'll be moving up in the next round of rivals ratings as his stats are ridiculous STOMP
Minnisota *4 OL Nick Davidson has Oregon in his final 5 and will take an OV in January. His Dad is an NFL assistant coach. STOMP
I agree, he even made it on Yahoo's top stories section. http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1289730
Scout is reporting that David Perkins decommitted from ND and is now open. I didn't read the article but the headline reads that Perkins says he "fits Oregon's style". Be a great get if he does land here - as he holds offers from ND, LSU, Tenn, MSU, etc. 4 star - scout/rivals/espn, #9 ranked (4th in State/Indiana) OLB/MLB/Athlete - 6'2" 210#. Scout reports: David Perkins is a transfer from Kalamazoo Central who boasts a 36.5 vertical jump. 10.1 broad, 16 reps of 185-lbs on the bench and a 4.15 shuttle. He finished his junior season with 783 yards on 85 carries, ten receptions for 180 yards (six total TDs) and 63 tackles, 13 sacks and 21 tackles for loss. Perkins says he can bench 325-pounds, squat 450 and claims a 39-inch vertical jump. Perkins: “I’m very explosive on the field. When I have the ball in my hands I think I’m the hardest man in America to bring down. I’ve also got the fastest first step. I want to improve my endurance.” scout.com ***sorry, stomp. didn't see your earlier post on Perkins***
I hope Ellis McCarthy saw the UO at UW game. Man, he'd look good in a Ducks uni. Also love that Daniels and Seymour got a little taste of the team they could be a part of while visiting UW. UW might want to schedule their visits a little better next time. The crowd there was pretty quiet during the second half.
Some LA beat writer says that McCarthy and Kevon Seymour are silent USC commits. Nobody else can confirm this though.
I've followed recruiting for a decent part of the last decade, but I guess I've never given it much thought. Is there a benefit to being a Silent Commit?
