What does anyone think about Jake Rodrigues?.. I think the kid will be a monster for oregon and could come in and compete for the starting job right away. Also, Nice to meet you all! I post on the ESPN Forums regularly.
Welcome to Sportstwo! I like Rodrigues a lot, but don't think we will be seeing him for a while. He obviously likes Oregon a lot as he was the first recruit to enroll.
I see. well, I would like to see him get some snaps. He has one of the biggest arms of this Class and is accurate. Plus he's a strong and fast runner. I think Bryan Bennett will be huge for us though. What are our chances at landing Shaq or Armstead? From what I've seen it looks like its anyones game at them. I heard Shittu was also very interested in us as well. Would be amazing if we could land all three.
With Armstead we have a great shot at. He's having a lot of in-home visits this week so anything can happen. As far I know Saban, Chizik, Tedford, and Sark are doing the in-homes. No word on when if Chip is going to do one. Shaq was visited by Allioti. No word on how it went and nothing saying Chip will visit as well. I know Chip is doing an in-home with Harper and we'll see how the rest plays out. I'd give us, a 10 percent chance of landing him. It would be a huge get that I just don't think will happen. Shittu has shown that he wants to get in touch again with the Oregon coaches, have not heard that interest has been reciprocated.
Welcome LLm Jake appears to have a cannon and great physical tools. He's already enrolled and taking classes so should be part of Spring practices if his broken leg is healed. As solid of a prospect as he seems, he has his work cut out for him beating out Bennett & Mariota for the starting spot this year. I think a redshirt freshman year is especially valuable to a QB as they familiarize themselves with their new playbook, the step up in competition and being on their own for the first time. I get the sense that Oregon will not reciprocate interest in Shittu and that ship has sailed. STOMP
Anyone heard how Poutasi's visit went? This is a 315# I'd love to see anchoring our OL. Soft verb to Utah, we have the luxury of being his last official visit. He took his official to Utah in Oct so hopefully he's giving us consideration. With only one OL verb - a JC - this is a position we could some interest in. Addison, Harper, Allen, Whitaker visiting next week. All but Whitaker have an offer from Oregon.
Castro might be the first of many, unfortunately. Hopefully the Ducks can keep it together for another week and a half... Ed O.
Thank Heavens!!!! http://www2.registerguard.com/cms/i...p-kelly-changes-his-mind-will-stay-at-oregon/ Welcome back Chip! Now let's get back to recruiting! Whew, mj
The damage has only been done to Castro and maybe Poutasi. There's plenty of time for Kelly to do damage control and by not going to the NFL he has shown his commitment to the Ducks.
I'm not getting the Castro part though. The way I'm reading it is he committed to UCLA on saturday before the news of Chip broke. Maybe I'm misunderstanding it though. But Castro sure is trying to stir stuff up on the Twitterz.
It's been confirmed that Cedrick Poutasi was in for an OV this weekend along with commits Bair Marshall and Balducci. Although the reason why wasn't given, Damariay Drew's OV was pushed back by Oregon until next weekend. STOMP
How exactly? That he was offered and considered an NFL head coaching job? and yet, even with that, CHOSE to return to Oregon? Sounds more positive than negative to me....
