Out of the choices you have to take Barnes. Selecting Lillard at #6 would be idiotic. But that's not out of line with the Blazers brain trust unfortunately.

I don't think there is any doubt that Lillard would like to be the 6th pick overall, and basically come in and start right away with Batum and Aldridge. I am sure he and his agent are selling the shit out of him to Portland

The people who thought Dame was the right pick were a definite minority. I haven't read back through the thread, and it doesn't look like I posted in this one at the time, but my clear top-3 for the draft was, in order: Davis, Lillard, Drummond.

Ive been so wrong on drafts before, but am so glad i was on the right side in THIS one. Think what sold me on Dame was this video:



Dame put this out on his Youtube channel after the draft, but snippets of it were online in June. I think Marc Spears or someone had talked about it and how grueling it was and this guy had unbelievable stamina while being able to shoot.
