Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Anthony Davis would ignite the passion to keep this team (Paul Allen) again. He's that good IMO
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I mentioned this in another thread, but I'm a Rivers guy. I honestly feel like he's a can't miss star on the NBA level. Davis is so thin, and if you look at his body, I'm not sure how much more he fills out. I worry he'll be pushed out of the post to easily on the next level. With 2 lotto picks I'd look at Rivers, and hopefully Sullinger. If I'm Portland though, I also look to grab a pick in the 20's and get either Terrence Jones or Tony Wroten. Both those players have question marks, but they have incredible upside and athletic ability. I really like Wroten and think he could turn out to be a steal if he chooses to come out.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I'll pass on Sullinger. He can't get off the ground. You put someone with size on him it gives him fits.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Rivers would be a nice-get if we can get the opportunity. He can flat-out score and create his own shot.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Insane hustle player... Reminds me of a less athletic Gerald Wallace. I'd pick this guy up in the 2nd round.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Things that do transfer on to the NBA level from college: motor, effort, and efficiency. Those three words are Crowder personified. He can be a very valuable bench player, and we should definitely target him in the second round. He sorta reminds me of Thomas Robinson actually, but he's only 6'6.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I think he'll be fine. Rumors that he could be nursing an injury right now. According to DX he measured as 6'10 in shoes, 280 lbs with a 7'1 wingspan last season. Apparently he lost some weight between the seasons. Dude's really skilled and you look at the success of guys like Kevin Love, Al Jefferson, Zach Randolph, Millsap, etc. Sullinger just turned 20 and hes way ahead as far as offensive skillset than these guys were at his age. He'll probably be a similar 20/10 with crap defense type PF, but still a valuable player worthy of a top 5 pick. Davis and Robinson are above him IMO, but if I was picking 3rd its a toss up between Sullinger and MKG.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects We take the best player available right? We haven't done to well in the past drafting for need.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects ^that Kentucky team is solid! When you have 3 top 10 picks on the same team and they score like 70 a game....... somebody has to have an off night every now and then.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects He didn't even have an off game really. Only took 4 shots. Playing at KU has to be a luxury because a top player can take a night off and they still beat you by 20 haha
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I was going to compliment you on your post....... then I looked..... and you only have 50 posts. I don't waste my time on rookies. Nevermind!
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects What's weird is that EVERY SINGLE PERSON on here has a black bar underneath their name that says "all-star". I know damn well 99% of these tools shouldn't even have "d-league" under their name let alone "all-star"!!!
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects So, anyway.... Draftexpress updated their mock today: Blazers take Harrison Barnes (#6) and Terrence Jones (#11)
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects So do you think we take the best player available this time around? Because don't those guys both play the 3? We already have Nic.
