Can you recall any other deal in recent memory where a pick from that year's draft was traded in a S&T deal?

Yeah, I don't think it's possible to S&T Batum on draft night.

It would have to be in two steps right? First draft, then sign and trade later?

It CAN technically be done. But we'd have to tell GS hey, pick Lillard for us. They might not want him, but we pick who they got. And then we have to hope that Batum doesn't prefer to get an offer elsewhere. Or even that he will like how much GS is offering him. And if he shops elsewhere, GS is left with the guy we had them pick for us.

At first I thought Hell NO. Because I do not like Jefferson or his contract. But I like the aggressive gamble. They could reshape the future in one draft. Drummond or Barnes or MKG + Lillard + SG (Ross or Rivers) Not bad to go along with a few vets.

Rice would totally lose his shit if that's how our draft went.

With the obligatory "things can change" attached, it's not sounding as if Kansas F Thomas Robinson will be working out for the Kings (No. 5)

Sure makes these Mocks fun! RT @JonRothstein: There are 6 players in #NBADraft that will likely go 1-6. After that, pure bedlam. Buckle up.

Yeah, that pairing does bring a bit of concern considering how productive it was last year. But, they didn't have a team leader.

Both have big question marks around them, but both have a ton of upside too. Lamb at his best can look like a more athletic Rip Hamilton, which wouldn't be a bad thing. Or maybe a longer Kevin Martin, who can play defense. I would take either one of those.

Maybe they both could channel the spirit of another "no motor" sliding draft prospect out of UConn (Uncle Cliffy).

Here's to hoping he has a brilliant workout!

That's one of a million things that need to line up for T-Rob to slide to #6.

I honestly think if Robinson gets past the wiz at #3, we could move up to #4 and get him Cleveland doesn't need a 4, and dealing #6 and #11 for Robinson and #24 would be a great move. Cleveland really needs wing help and a true center, so Robinson makes no sense. Assuming the draft plays out with Davis, Barnes, Beal. Portland would select Robinson, Sac MKG, leaving Cleveland with Drummond at #6 and someone like Ross or Rivers or whatever at #11
