As @alexkennedynba noted, Houston is indeed shopping C Samuel Dalembert to attach w/ one of its picks (14 & 16) & move up. He has $1.5 mil buyout for next season.

I would trade #11 for Dalembert and #16 in a heartbeat. Dalembert is still a decent center, so I think that is well worth trading back 5 spots for

That was my line of thought too. Not much difference in the caliber of player between those five spots.

    so there goes Gasol deal.

Looking ahead of them, can see PHX with some contracts to dump, but not worth the cost for Houston to only move up a few spots. Detroit at 9? Can maybe dump Charlie V on them, but they can actually use Dalembert alongside Monroe. Sliding back to 16 hurts though, when there's an outside shot Drummond can slip all the way to them at 9. NO at 10? Do they have any other salary they want to dump, after moving Okafor and Ariza? Jack's the only contract over 5, and he's decent, so no real need. Dalembert and 16 for Shawne, Kurt and 11? Doesn't save us a ton, when we can just stretch waive Shawne, but does save us som money, OR, we keep Dalembert to play C for us.

Starting to agree RT @JohnCanzanoBFT: NBA GM tells me he thinks Blazers take Lillard at No. 6, & wouldn't chance trying to get him at No. 11

Source with knowledge of Rockets' strategy says we should slow down on the Dalembert trade talk that was coming from other teams.

On reports of a Dalembert deal, was told "Not happening." Rox would like to move a pick, but also like Sam's contract.Long way to next Thu.

Sounding like Houston is REALLY open for business - well beyond Sam Dalembert... could be a fun off-season in Houston

If Blazers opt for @Dame_Lillard at 6 over Andre Drummond, he could slide to Warriors at 7 or Pistons at 9.

lol, so if we pass on him at 6, he could really slide to 7? I just don't see it Chad. I think whoever picks at 6.5 will grab him.

    Hearing similar? Not "the same"?

At this point, barring any deals, I'll assume it's Lillard at 6, unless any of the expected Top-5 drop to #6 and Portland is left to choose between Drummond and Lillard.

Lillard at 6, Drummond at 11?

JK - no way Drummond falls out of top-10.

Depending on what Charlotte does, Robinson sliding is a very real possibility. I'd love to see use the 6th and change to get Robinson. IF the Lillard interest is very real, I would implore the Blazers to use the 11 and change to move up to 7 or 8 with GSW or Raptors to get the rights to Lillard. A Robinson and Lillard draft would be stellar.
