Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects He's only a Soph. but he's built like a tank. Physically he's a clone of JJ Hickson.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Davis deserves to hype and attention but it's nowhere near what Oden was getting during the final four. Not even close.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects TRob is solidifying himself as my favorite player for us to pick this year. I don't care if he would clutter our roster. That guy can ball.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects He definitely impressed me and looked better than Sullinger, unfortunately he will probably be gone by the time we pick.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I think Drummond is still a lock for a top-3 pick but there is noway T-Rob falls past #4.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Drummond looks good... but man I'm skeptical of drafting bigs. Fool me once, shame on you.... fool me twice...... shame on me. Fool me three times..... fuck.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Huh? Hes looked utterly mediocre whenever I've seen him. I'm not quite sure how hes rebuilt his draft stock since his team was eliminated. Hes a great physical specimen and could be a useful player down the line but no way in hell I take him over Robinson, unless Robinson measures out very tiny. OTOH DeAndre Jordan and Derrick Favors could be helping his stock. They were also highly touted prospects who did little to impress in college but have managed to do well in the league based on physical tools. IMO Davis, MKG, and Robinson are the clear cut top 3, then you've got a tier with Drummond, Beal, Barnes, Sullinger, and after that its difficult to differentiate talent much.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Terrence Ross just declared for the NBA draft and has hired an agent. http://www.gohuskies.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/040112aab.html Could be an intriguing guy to look at as a SG, which is where he'll likely play in the NBA.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects According to Draftexpress Robinson measured 6'10" w/shoes with a 7'1" wingspan. Roughly the same size as Blake Griffin.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects College PER isn't nearly as important as it is in the NBA, simply because there is so little crossover in playing every team, but it's interesting to look at anyhow. No surprise at who was #1 of players considered NBA prospects, but #2 is a surprise. http://www.draftexpress.com/stats.p...ll&league=NCAA&conference=&pos=all&sort2=DESC
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Same height, longer reach than Blake Griffin. I am interested to see official measurements at the camp for a lot of these guys, though. Robinson, Beal, Davis.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I don't know where Draftexpress gets those numbers. They always change once the player declares and goes to the NBA pre-draft camp.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects i think they usually get them from various camps. The Amare stoudamire skills camp, I think, is one.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Thanks for the info. I just think them to not be completely accurate because they always seem to change once the NBA gets involved. If Thomas Robinson really is 6'10" in shoes and has a 7'1" wingspan, I'll be shocked. He looks more like 6'7" in shoes on the court. If he's that size, then there should be a strong debate about taking Robinson or Davis. I just don't believe he's that size.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects There's no debate either way. Davis is two years younger and already a game changer on defense. Robinson is slightly ahead on offense but has a lower ceiling on that side of the court.
