And that is why I'm against trading the pick.... we have no earthly idea what is going to happen tomorrow. We could do nothing and have a really good player drop to us at 6th.

Agreed, unless, like I said earlier, they value someone like Beal or Robinson so much more than Barnes, MKG or Lillard

This is why I think pick #6 is almost as valuable as pick #2. #2-5, right now.... there are just so many variables. Beal (and AD) is the only one who seems like he's a lock to go before #6.

He might have just discovered the thread. Trying to work his way through. Give it an hour, he'll break the Gordon-Maggette trade.

I have a feeling Beal is going to be a king sized bust. MKG might be taken ahead of where I would want to take him, but at least he will most likely end up a solid contributor. I think calling him Scottie Pippen is ridiculous, but I could easily see him as a Bruce Bowen type player. Beal could end up just another tweener combo guard.

"I have no idea,'' Waiters said. "I haven't talked to nobody, honestly. He doesn't tell me nothing. He said he talked to a couple of teams. He said to keep working. He did not tell me. I don't know nothing. I'm just walking into the fire. We'll see.''

No way I could handle that night after night in interviews.

    • Jared Cunningham has become a coveted player at the back end of the first round to early second. The former Oregon State guard shut down his workouts but was in Atlanta for an interview Tuesday. Atlanta, Charlotte and Golden State have a lot of interest. But so too does Boston and the Celtics even have interest in acquiring an third first-round pick to possibly get Cunningham.

How does someone bitch about Lillard working out for teams solo, when Waiters didn't even work out for anyone?

Damian Lillard on how important it would be for him to come in and start at point guard from Day One: "I haven't really thought about coming in and starting. I realize that there's a lot of guys who are respected in the league, established. I'm coming in as a rookie. All I want to come in and do is work my way on to the floor. Earn some minutes. If that leads to me starting, so be it. I'm always working on my game so if I'm in a position where I need to start, I'll be ready."
