Chris Broussard @Chris_Broussard sources: Charlotte talking with Cavs and Rockets about trading #2 pick. not sure if teams making separate offers or if it's a 3-way trade>>>> I knew it.
To get a trading piece for Howard? A bunch of middle players won't do it, but maybe one of the top 5 will?
Yeah I guess that makes sense... I get the feeling Houston will regret this if they do, in fact, trade for DHO. I don't think he'll stay there and then they'll be fucked over a one-year rental.
Maybe, but some have speculated that they try it for half a season, and if he doesn't stick, then they trade him for high value. Either way is better than the collection of pieces they started with at the beginning of the day. Orlando may figure this out at some point though and just do it themselves.
I would think his value would be significantly lower at the trade deadline. That's really my point though. They would be taking a pretty big risk and giving up quite a bit of value to get it done. Hard to fault someone for swinging for the fences, but it's a risk I probably wouldn't take.
Let's be honest, there probably aren't any great players in this draft, but Barnes has as good a chance as any of the others.
Maybe, but teams that are not under the cap can take him on at that point with one big trade. Bynum comes to mind. If the Clips get Odom, would they trade Griffin for Howard? I would.
JohnCanzanoBFT: OMG, we got the 6th pick from New Jersey? When did that happen? We should grab Zeller. [via Twitter]
It sure sounds like we're taking Lillard, but I hope we have the wherewithal to change our plan if someone amazing drops.
Jonathan Givony @DraftExpress Portland is putting out serious signs that they might take Waiters over Lillard. Could be smoke, but teams taking it serious. Rivers goes 7?
