You know, I admit that I wanted Robinson to drop to us. I liked Lillard, but I had no fucking clue he was going to be this good. Can anyone really say they knew he was going to be this good? I liked some of the talk from Tom Penn and the videos sure looked good. I wasn't truly sold until I saw him play in the SL. After the first game I knew he was going to be something special.

I believe I was the first to mention wanting to draft Lillard in one of the threads way before the draft, or before Lillards stock began to rise.

*(As I pat myself on the back while eating a cookie) hehehehe

Nobody can say they "knew", but a lot of us thought. I was definitely in the "Lillard/Leonard Or Bust!" camp before and during the draft, after seeing the stats, measurements, and videos. Of course it was all a hunch, but it's better to be lucky than good! :ghoti:

It was in one of the original draft watch threads. Don't make me lay the smack down with my searching tools to add more to my legacy on this board. But, if I must I will....

They still shoulda taken Waiters! You'll see!

Actually, we all knew a week in advance that Olshey loved Lillard. So Blazer fans advocating anyone else were following their intrinsic endemic need to oppose authority.

Yeah I was hoping to see some strong opinions before June, but there just aren't any. We're all (mostly) too reasonable.

What has happened to Robinson down in Sac? I thought this kid was going to take this league by storm?

Its out there man, I just cant seem to find it. It was the first time Lillard was brought up around here and I posted a video of him. It was like the 2nd page of a long thread.

Somebody should pull up the subsequent "BPA" thread. Hell, I might have started it, so I'll look for it.

My point was that "BPA" is subjective based on a team's draft board. I do find it hilarious that so many of the experts here had a meltdown over Lillard not being the "BPA" to the point they couldn't at all even realize that maybe he was the "BPA".

I wasn't that high on Lillard really. I thought he'd be more Mo Williams as his ceiling than Deron Williams. The small school resume, the high volume scoring and paucity of assists at Weber State and his age all made me just a little bit wary.

I wasn't mad or even disappointed when we drafted him, because I don't think there were many players left that I'd rather have, but I never dreamed he'd be as smooth and just plain NBA ready as he's been so far.

I admit I was disappointed on draft night because I thought Barnes was one of the top 5 players in the draft.

However, after MZ posted that Lillard video he is referring to it made it hard not to have some love for Lillard. I didn't hate the pick (like Blaze who had an absolute meltdown)

One of my favorite threads of all time was when a bunch of us posted gifs in response to Fez and his not. swayed. posts about Waiters > Lillard.

Glad Lillard has exceeded my expectations. Makes me excited to be a fan again.
