Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I would be very happy with a Marshall and Lamb draft. Whichever the order.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects You realize that where the players are projected right now is not accurate right? POR will likely have to take Lamb at #6-7 b\c in all likelyhood he will not be there at #11....He will go higher than he is currently projected, a top 10 pick
if you read the end of my post I point out that peoples draft stock changes. at the moment he isn't projected to go in the top ten and I very much doubt he will increase his stock much if at all. Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk 2
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Understood...although I think Lamb will be a top 10 pick...If he fel to #11 that would be great for POR...
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I'm not a fan. Every time I watched UCONN I got flashes of Marshon Brooks/Elliot Williams. Beal is the best SG in this draft.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Even if this is true, it is irrelevant because he will be off the board by the time we pick, and I don't see us trading up to get him. As many have mentioned, this is a clearly tiered draft. Nobody's trading out of the top 5.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I would be very content with that draft. Only time would tell, but I like both players.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I decided I don't like Henson next to Aldridge. Sullinger would be the better option at 11, assuming he is there
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Henson's ceiling is too low for that selection It wouldn't be the worst idea for the Blazers to draft a SF in case some team is stupid enough to offer Batum $10M or more. Terrence Jones wouldn't be terrible at 11.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Marshall would be a serious reach at #7... POR needs to be focused on talent not plugging position holes (particularly when they could be better filled in free agency)....
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Kemba Walker had a lot of hype going into the draft and he finished this season as one of the worst (FG%) shooters in history for a rookie. Stay. Away. From. 6-foot. Scoring. Guards. (Walker, Flynn, Mills, etc., etc., etc.)
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects All this Hype on Beal but has anyone taken a step back and realized that Elliot has better college stats then him? I'll be interesting to see how Beal does at the combine because I'm willing to bet that Williams is a better athlete too. Williams has been bitten by the injury bug and the reason he fell so low was because it was known he would need MF surgery before the draft and his game was so reliant on athleticism that people were skeptical he could fully recover. I'm liking the idea of E.Will getting some serious burn next season. If he stays healthy I think he'll really impress. Forgot to make my point. I have soured on Beal because of that and if we get another SG i'd like to take a shot at a bigger one whose length will cause a lot of problems in Lamb.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Looks like we'll be picking no lower than #6 with the NJ pick. Here's to lady luck granting the Blazers the #1 pick (Anthony Davis) and #6 pick (Kendall Marshall).
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects So with NJ's pick this year we are looking at #6 or 7 ? 4 and 5 are not possible? And with our pick it could be top 3 or #11?
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects According to B-Edge, depending if NJ doesn't win the lotto, we'll be picking at either #5 or #6.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects For that NJ pick to drop to #7-9 would mean that 3 teams behind them jumped into the top 3...highly highly unlikely...I would say highly unlikely that 2 of them would, maybe 1 might? long shot though. So that means that if hopefully NJ pick isn't selected top 3, that POR will be picking #6 or #7. Not bad.... Anthony Davis - MKG - T.Robinson - Beal I think we can safely assume that all 4 of those guys will be gone by the 5th pick....
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Your parents were derelict in teaching you the birds and the bees. Until the coin flip, our seeding is tied at 5 and 6. After the coin flip, we/New Jersey will have either 5th or 6th seed in the lottery, where we/NJ will draw the 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, or whatever draft pick. NJ keeps it if it's 1, 2, or 3. Your seed is not the same as your pick, and you need to get flipped.
