Thomas Tyner had a moment of nervousness, but is still a verbal for 2013.

As reports swirled that Kelly was close to finalizing a deal with the NFL's Buccaneers, Tyner on Sunday tweeted, "Questioning where I will be in a couple years now that this story is going around. Looks legit."

But Monday morning, fans woke up to good news: Kelly was staying in Eugene, and Tyner hadn't changed his commitment plans.

"That tweet came out just because I was upset," Tyner said. "He's a great coach, and every NFL team out there wants him. I went to bed kind of mad, but when I woke up and read on Twitter that he was staying, I had a big smile on my face. It relieved a lot of stress."

Yes Eddie Vanderdoes is a high priority player that I hope the Ducks land.

RB Dontre Wilson
TE/LB Dakota Turner
LB Michael Hutchings

These are some other guys I really hope we land.

I feel luck for us getting Vanderdoes...not so much with Hutchings, if USC is offering he will bite due it being local.

Texas speedburner RB Dontre Wilson will be visiting in March. He's expected to be offered by much of the who's who of college football but lists the Ducks as his favorite... he also claims to be up to 175-180 pounds

2013 DT Eddie Vanderdoes has some nice things to say via rivals.

"I definitely really like Oregon," Vanderdoes said. "I would have to say they're an early favorite. I really like their d-line coach. He's a lot like my d-line coach. They have the same personalities. I haven't seen the campus but I've heard a lot about it and that place has always intrigued me."

Just think about having AA at the DE, Vanderdoes at the DT, Baer at the other DT and Deforest Buckner at the other DE in two years.... That's a huge tall D line!

new offer out on the OLine. Michigan Guard Cameron Dillard could be nicknamed IHOP

I'm all for kids taking a good look around and making the best decision for them. Eddie Vanderdoes comes or doesn't, but pretty sure at the end of the day we're going to continue to get better.

The NCAA cloud still lingers (hopefully they resolve it shortly) but it hasn't been raining bad spin on the Ducks like last cycle which is part of why I expect this next class to fill up quicker. Rose Bowl - NCG - Rose Bowl... this snowball is heading downhill.

His tweets before that are much more favorable for us if I had to say.

@mccoySC: @EddieVanderdoes you and @arikarmstead would be unfair locking up the DLine together.” Eddie knows where he going lol

And lastly another favorable tweet for us by Hutchings
https://twitter.com/#!/CaliHutch_17/status/166042237099196416
“@joel__ryan: “@CaliHutch_17: Where will everyone be in 5 years?” Hoping SOME will be in Eugene.” quite possibly

We all know that Lamo will BEG and Plead for Eddie to be a Trojan. Good! It makes it twice as nice when we land him without looking like pan hadling beggers in Venice Beach, and he puts on the Duck O Hat in Feb!!

Mark my words guys, the best news for Duck fans is that Lamo is the coach at USC. This guy attracts negative press like non other!

So we may get Hutchings and Vanderdoes? Sweet.

Hutchings #17 and Vanderdoes #21. Man I hope we get them.

Other players to look out for on the Rivals 100

#30 Max Redfield S - I've heard reports saying that it's going to be between us and USC

#71 Troy Williams QB - Probably our #1 QB target from this class. Along with Khari McGee.

#98 Aaron Cochran OG - This kid is huge, but I don't even know if we offer. I've heard he doesn't fit the mold of offensive lineman that we like.

22 guys in the initial rivals top 100 list Oregon among their early favs

1. DE Robert Nkemdiche, GA
9. RB Thomas Tyner, OR (Committed to Oregon)
13. WR Ricky Seals-Jones, TX
17. LB Michael Hutchings, CA
21. DT Eddie Vanderdoes
26. WR Robert Foster, PA
27. OT Ethan Pocic, IL
30. S Max Redfield, CA
40. LB Chans Cox, AZ
46. OT Chris Fox, CO

Does anybody know what's going on with Relando Jefferson? I'm not sure if this belongs in the 2012 or 2013 thread because he may not yet have enough credits to transfer, but Chip still has a few spots open, doesn't he?

He badly wants to be a Duck last I heard. But still not enough credits I think

Maybe that's one of the reasons Chip kept a few schollies in his back pocket. If Relando can get the grades/credits this spring and/or summer, he could conceivable be eligible this fall. That would by far the biggest impact recruit of the year, at least in terms of immediate production.

If we could land him, he could redshirt this year to learn the offense, then he and DAT would light it up with Byron Marshall next year!

he looks incredible, at a jc i presume?

correct good sir. College of the Sequoias. High School teammate of one Cliff Harris. Here is the most recent article I have read of him

You know how they say people wear their hearts on their sleeves? Rolando Jefferson wears his on his feet.

His first year playing college football is in Visalia, at College of the Sequoias, but he doesn't want his career to end there.

"I'm a Duck," he says. "I'm a Duck before a Duck. I'm a Duck, I'm gonna be a Duck. That's my goal, is to be a Duck."

Had Jefferson's grades been better, he could have been a Duck already. He was a five-star recruit coming out of Edison High School in 2009.

But he was academically ineligible to sign with Oregon.

"I'm gonna have to really work. I'm gonna have to really work," says Jefferson. "I'm not there yet, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm gonna have to work."

"Rolando is a great kid and a hard worker and I think that with his ability, the sky's the limit with him," says first-year COS coach Robert Dougherty. "It just depends on how focused he is, which he is now. I think he's gonna have a big year."

Jefferson needs that, along with his AA degree. Then, he can start working on his Bachelor's while being reunited with one of his former teammates.

"I always liked Oregon, ever since I was coming up," adds Jefferson. "And my brother, Cliff Harris, goes there and he didn't even want to go there; I made him go there. So it's like, I'm just gonna follow his footsteps and keep it going."

no idea if anything changed now that Cliff is off the team.

If he keeps his grades up and gets enough credits, he would be apart of the 2013 class. There has been no indication that he has not been doing that and it seems like all should be in line for him to make a transfer to us if possible.

lol, really?
