Man, nothing is biting for Oregon yet. But I have a feeling the Ducks will get commits when they play.

I'm getting this weird feeling we're going to get Green..... I think he'll love the facilities here and we'll have the deepest RB group in college football!

The NCAA taking over a year to decide on what should be fairly easy sanctions isn't helping recruiting right now. Although my thought is that UO thinks that everything they did should be considered secondary violations, and barely punished. The NCAA would be opening a huge can of worms with the "oral" reports crime, becuase it is well known that most recruiting agencies also provide oral reports, or at least did until the NCAA started investigating Oregon. Lyles did it while he was with Elite, so any program that worked with him directly is also in violation of that vague NCAA rule.

supply and demand of scholarships is decidedly on Oregon's side. Everyone knows they wait until later in the process to extend their offers as they're looking for the best kids to separate themselves. I've personally informed you of this multiple times... yet you keep asking the same question?

I'm sure if they wanted to they could have all their scholarships spoken for tomorrow, but this is a marathon not a sprint. Patience young grasshopper

So they are aiming for the big prospects first out of state, then as a fallback incase they don't get them they go instate, and they are taking their time until season rolls around. Is that it?

they want the best PSAs who want to be Ducks. I'm absolutely sure they've their list of who they want to see play in their SR year and after more evaluations & OVs more offers will go out. They've similar amount of verbals now as in the past years under Chip and come NSD I'm confident they'll have another fine group. Patience

edit* Someone on another site posted a relevant thought on this... if Kelly had flooded Jrs. with offers a couple years back, we probably wouldn't be looking at Mariota as Oregon's QB. Dude didn't start a game until his Sr. year.

Scout.com has Nico Falah as a visitor on 09/21 which is week of Arizona game. He is one of the members of USC's highly ranked class.

when we thrash USC I still seeing several USC commits pulling out.... Lamo probably told Vanderdoes, Hutching and Redfield they have no spot left if they didn't commit when they did... How stupid will lamo look when Oregon takes them away again just like the Mamba? 21 point beat down on their turf might insure that!

If I'm a recruit seeing Oregon thrash my school of choice 2 weeks prior to signing day, I'd take notice!

The question is DO WE WANT THEM NOW? I say move on!

fwiw rumors have it that Vanderdoes cooled on Oregon when he was being offered as a Nose Tackle... not many kids enjoy that position thats for sure. If we offered him as a 4-3 DT then heck yes I still would want him here for sure! Monster kid, who seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders.

thats what I'd heard on Vanderdoes too. The NT's job is usually to occupy two blockers to allow the LBs to clean up the plays. EddieV wanted to play in a 4-3 where he could stay in the 280-290 range and be more dynamic. The Ducks are pretty loaded at SSDE (where he also projects) and will be losing Wade and Ricky in two seasons so they are looking for some beef in the middle of their line

Balducci will redshirt this year. They're working him at Nose Tackle.

following another visit this past weekend, the Ducks have offered Portland Lineman Doug Brenner. Though he sits with zero stars at this point and is listed as a DLineman, he's being projected on the O-Line in Eugene. He's supposed to be a really hard worker... I'll be surprised if he doesn't jump on it

And he hasn't jumped on board why? Same with the other recruits who have offers, I mean with how the Ducks played you think there would be commits.

honestly winning doesnt have much to do with committing. It doesnt hurt or anything, but it doesnt do much more than get your foot in the door (i.e. a visit (official, or unofficial))

In my previous observations with following recruiting, it has a lot more to do with relationship w/ coaches, team playing style, playing time, friends, and probably most with proximity to home.

In Oregon's case they are at more of a disadvantage with playing time, and proximity to home.

Brenner: The 6-foot-3, 280-pound tight end/defensive end was offered by the Ducks at offensive line, according to Adam Gorney of Rivals.com. Brenner also holds offers from Oregon State, Wyoming and Air Force.

I don't see this kid seeing time on the D line behind French, Buckner and AA.... on the TE side of the ball.... you've got Colt, Brown and the kid they redshirted this year+ the one we just recruited.... all of those guys mentioned are taller and faster....
