~~ Well you can spin it any way you want but outside of Tyner every 5* talent that Oregon has gone after has gone somewhere else and more than not to our rivals at USC. That's a fact, and it's clearly shitty lazy come to us recruiting that is killing the talent pool with this class. If you want to play with the big dogs and win, you better recruit top talent!!! IF you have a top five team for the last four years, that can't get a top five recruiting class with as much as Oregon has to offer you better get new people to recruit and sell your program!!! This isn't rocket science! The recruiters at Oregon are tragic!!!! Outside of a local kid "Tyner" they've had their asses kicked on every position on the field to some other team this entire recruiting cycle. This while being one OT field goal away from playing the Irish for the national title our second in 4 years and 4th straight BCS Bowl!! So posters like Stomp will tell you that we are so deep that top recruits see a log jam, but they're signing at programs like USC, Bama, LSU, Georgia, FSU and Miami where talent pools are already massively overflowing?!? What? Not to mention guys like AA, Buckner, Marshall, Addison, DAT, Colt all saw meaningful minutes their freshman years here. We need LB's, a paint stealing SS, we need a DE that can really put pressure on a QB and we need some back up secondary players in a hurry for injury purposes. For Bostwick's dad to say he's going to a program that will be on probation for years and not the Ducks when we were in his top two merely 10 days ago is unreal! Think about the Ducks without DAT and Colt for the last two years? Recruiting matters!
The Ducks are the 48th -55th "BEST" recruiting class depending on the recruiting site you pick. Teams like Kansas, UVA, Tennesse, Baylor,Northwestern, Rutgers, Pitt to name a few are ranked much higher. Now before Stomp tells ya how to crunch the #'s and read it a certain way, realize recruits read the same boards we do and Oregon is getting out recruited by North Carolina and Utah in their eyes. It should also be noted that outside of Stanford who had a monster recruiting class last year, no other top 10 team in the nation is even within 20 classes of how poorly we are doing with recruiting this year. This should make you wonder how effective our recruiters are!
I'm gonna steal this post I read from a DT user because he did the math and DAMMIT this is getting annoying to have to explain over and over and over and ∞ http://oregon.247sports.com/Board/45/Too-many-whiffs-15053542/1
We've lost Redmond to UCLA almost lost Tyner to who knows who, and we've not secured a DT, LB's or O lineman, outside of Evan Voeller that Vanderdoes manhandled at the Nike camp! The best recruits are now committed and we really have not one on the radar with more than 4*'s behind them to go after, so this is a pretty lame rodeo Oregon is hosting, wouldn't you agree? Please show any duck fan where this selective process is being used to date? Cause the "TOP RECRUITS" are selecting elsewhere! If you've got 3-4 five* recruits non of us have heard about Wheels, Stomp and so forth, let us all know, we'd love to hear about them. Doesn't have to be a huge class right just selective? Otherwise this class in the positions we NEED to fill has not produced to the level this program has achieved on the field. There is no other way to look at it! This is not a freak out, rather an honest opinion that every recruiting site agrees with. Oregon has underachieved in recruiting this year HUGE! Infact I'll go out on a limb and say Oregon will finish will the worst recruiting class of anyone in the top 20! If Monte Kiffin was our recruiter we'd have Vanderdoes, Redfield, Hutchings, Biggelow to go with Tyner and Wilson that Gary brought in.... now that's a class Oregon should have had. All I'm saying is Oregon needs to take a different approach if the goal here is to win national championships because at "that level" as we now know, talent really matters!
not sure what this has to do with what recruits we should be going after You got links to back that up? Or should I file this under just ranting? *****Leon Mcquay was just visited by Chip (3000 miles away, what a lazy ass Chip is) Robert Nkifdjklsjeri wants to visit. 5* Derrick Green still has interest in Oregon. That’s three 5* players right there***** Not sure, you, me, Stomp, Zalsa, nor anyone are invited. We can only speculate how cool it is inside said rodeo. Can you elaborate on this question? I’m reading it as you are asking me to show you their recruiting “playbook” and a request like that would be laughable, so I’ll go ahead and give you the benefit of the doubt, and chalk it up to me being a dipwit and not comprehending the question. ***** Please refer to answer in my response #2 for players names ****** We need DL and LB’s according to you.. we took around 7 DL last class alone. And as has been noted multiple x multiple times on here, barring unforeseen attrition, we lose 2 of our DL. LB’s also has the likes of Bafaro Redshirting, and one of the Robinson twins is rumored to be coming in as a LB. See above More linkage please? Following recruiting would be a TON easier for me if I could just get final recruiting rankings from those sites… you know… before the recruiting period ends. if Monte Kiffin was our recruiter/D Coordinator then we would have a very porous defense, and would have already lost Redfield, and have Vanderdoes want to visit the likes of LSU, and Notre Dame, oh and a D-Coordinator that would be basically pushed out the door because he was so bad. yep that Talent laden SEC and teams like Bama that got run all over by Cam Newton and Auburn in our National Title year.. continued to do everything they wanted to against us youre right. Bama’s overall Talent CLEARLY showed the gap there is between them and us against Auburn
After Passing on both Redfield and Conley I really hope we get McQuay. I like our odds, but still not likely. But he really is the highest ranked recruit left we have targeted unless someone committed does an unexpected flip.
yet their most important recruit the last couple cycles was an unheralded 3* who's only other offer was from University of Memphis. The act like this isn't your first rodeo line is so spot on... anyways, thanks for providing yet another discombobulated emotional meltdown for everyone to enjoy. Fire Chip, he's the problem... got it! STOMP

his Dad (Joe) played in the NFL as a backup QB for 9 years. His most famous play... STOMP
Sly might be invited though now that I think about it. Rumor has it he puts out first date. And rumors are swirling Chip Kelly is Gay
Say Wheels are you still leaving milk and cookies out for Santa too? WOW! If this is what you're hanging this years recruiting classes hopes on, you should be an OSU grad! Even by some miracle we landed all three of these guys our class would still be at 14. BTW- Leon has another USC visit and Vanderbilt is considered his first choice for academics. Green is thought to be a UM silent where he'd be the featured back not sharing the field with Tyner and Wilson. Robert N? Really! Don't even go there! Now you and Stomp can say really anything you want to put spin on this and try and make me look like I'm ranting, but neither of you tossers can find a recruiting site that will back your selective player theory. In fact every recruiting site backs my theory that Oregon simply hasn't achieved this year. Oregon is out of time, out of top quality players and we all know that. But poor another glass of Kool-Aid, you've got each other to toast and say it's still a $300 dollar bottle of wine! The key players we are losing are the same key players we don't have huge depth in. LB's, DE's and O lineman..... Hope your selective recruiting has a couple silent 5* ready to flip for us. Stomp, I've never said fire Chip Kelly, not once you AB! I said he needs to make his intentions clear so our recruiting isn't used against us by other coaches, which has been noted coaches are using as ploys against Oregon. Further I've said if Chip wants to go to the NFL so badly, than go, stop using Oregon as the #2 girl at the dance. None of these off the field indulgences have taken away my respect for his coaching or the amount of success he's achieved with the Ducks!
so now I'm hanging my hopes on long shot 5* when you are the one clamoring for them? By your hypothesis of how awesome UO is, we should have around four 5* commits already. Tradition laden schools, and ones who are much closer to fertile recruiting grounds (Bama has 2 and Florida has 1) But that would change if Chip and Co would just get off their asses  still waiting on all those links showing all those UO has underachieved comments. I would post here again that we got 7 or so D-lineman last class but you probably would miss that again.
WE only took 6ish. Counting LB's. Burned redshirts Armstead: DE Buckner: DE Balducci: DT Redshirted Carriger: Unknown how will be used maybe not even defense Bafaro: LB Bair: DT or DE hybrid. (JC less years to play) We only seem to be grooming Balducci to be an NT, and would like another. It isn't like Oregon wasn't going after Vanderdoes (wiffed) then Etuale (wiffed). So the staff probably feels a need there too.
thanks I knew it could be 6 or 7. Duly noted I'm not saying though that you dont take players the caliber of a Vanderdoes though. If you can shore up with players and you have room for them (Etuale) then I have no problem with it. Sounds like Etuale wiffed on his test scores more than we did garnering interest. Its these theories that UO doesnt want big time kids, and are being lazy asses about it that are laughable to me.
hmm I usually go the rivals route for anything other than discussion and they always had him as a DE and a project iirc. Especially with Phaarow Brown and Evan Bayliss in the same class.
