So who does Dallas have now?

    Calderon...Larkin
    Ellis
    Marion...Vince
    Dirk
    Dalembert...Wright

Supposedly they are going to sign Harris for less money too. I guess that is a team that may be able to fight for a playoff spot, but they could just as easily go on some big losing streaks. If they are below .500 I wonder if they start thinking about trading away Dirk and rebuilding.

I would suspect Dirk would retire before being traded. It seems Cuban would at least finish him out. He seems like a really loyal owner.

OKC, Memphis are strong suitors for Mike Miller, who cleared waivers Thursday afternoon, per source. Miller played for Grizz from 2003-08.

ACtually that would be a good asset for Memphis. They have zero outside shooting.

Wondered why Memphis hasn't obtained any outside shooting this summer. They were waiting on Miller, who is perfect for them on the bench, as long as he can stay healthy.

It is too bad for Memphis they can't spend a lot on payroll as a small market team. If they could just somehow add a high-level 3 and D Small Forward, that team would be a brutal out in the playoffs.

They had to shed Rudy Gay's salary, but he wasn't that perfect fit. Inconsistent 3pt shooter, volume shooter, wants to slash, not playing defense. Not what they needed.

Sam Amick: The Nuggets are closing in on free agent guard Nate Robinson, I'm told. Denver offering bi-annual exception to land him.Could be done today.

Denver overloaded at the PG position . . .

Maybe even more reason we should grab Andre Miller from them ;)

I just think he would fit so perfectly in a 4 man rotation at the 1 & 2. Basically he'd function as Matthews' b/up, w/McCollum as Dame's.

I endorse this idea (and so does LaMarcus). However, we'd have to unload some contract(s) on them to do it.

I'd be happy to get Miller if he would accept playing little or no minutes some nights but I don't think he would be happy with that role. With Damian, Wes, CJ there wouldn't be guaranteed minutes. I think I'd rather just stick with Watson. Neil doesn't seem interested in getting players on the wrong side of 30 unless they are content with DNP.

I guess I kind of assumed that Watson was sort of the Ronnie Price of this year. Just like last year, Olshey signed an ex-Jazz player to be a non-playing mentor for our draftee. Watson used to be solid, but has been on a long slow decline. I don't really expect (or want) him to play much for us. Miller, on the other hand, is still very good:

I think it is safe to say that none of us know what to expect from Watson this year, as we all seem to be relying on his stats. It doesn't sound like anyone remembers seeing him play last year.

The good thing is unless there is an injury to Damian, Watson only needs to play 12 minutes a game. That should be easy for him to do.

And if Damian does get hurt? Well we are fucked.

Besides that lob to Batum against San Antonio (I was at that game it was EPIC), this is my favorite play by Miller:
