I wanted to keep Mo, but it seemed like the Blazers were either unwilling to sit Mo down and demand he play a certain way, or they figured he was who he was and there's no teaching old dog new tricks. Never been a big fan of Blake but his game has involved over the years and I do believe he'll be a better fit:

1.) He can play a resemblance of defense. For all the heroics Mo provided on offense he left us utterly exposed on D. We need our second unit to at least be able to hold a lead without giving up ground.

2.) He'll make the extra pass. When the Blazers move the ball they are successful, when they don't they aren't, simply as that. Both Lillard and C.J. were froze out with Mo in the game, not exactly what we're looking for.

3.) The second unit needs a calming presence. Exact opposite of Mo. Blake knows how to run an offense and not turn the ball over. Lastly, Steve can knock down the three when needed, and will be reliable at dumping the ball into the post to Kaman with whom we'll need some scoring punch off the bench this season.

Why can't we just get a posh schedule like Minny? At least this season isn't as bad as the others from the last 3 seasons. Some of those schedules were soooooo brutal

Complaining about uneven schedules is futile. The geography involved just can't make everything exactly even.

Minny is easily a b2b destination from TOR/DET/MIL/CHI/CLE/IND/DEN. Same with a ton of these Atlantic teams. PHI/NYC/BKN/BOS/CHA are all <1hr away from each other. There's no real way to avoid the discrepancies given how far POR is from other western opponents.

Yeah, I know we can't expect much considering our isolation in the league, I was just trying to give a TL;DR for Sly's post.

So that's 16 ESPN/TNT games, and at least 7 on NBA TV.

So that means I'm blacked out for more than a fourth of our games on LPBB ( i don't watch enough TV to warrant getting cable). The league took a good step last year in archiving all these games even if they were blacked out live. They need to take another step this season. Stop blacking out the NBA TV games at least!

Things will get better after Balmer moves the Clippers to Seattle and the Grizz moves back to Vancouver.

I suppose I could find plaid pants and shirt in some second hand store, but I'm DAMNED if I'll shave my head for the Ramsey Look!

I'm living in NYC these days. I'm gonna try to his the only three arenas I haven't been to- Charlotte, Danver, and Memphis- if I can afford it. Charlotte involves missing Thanksgiving in NYC. We'll see.
