Isn't he a Notre Dame commit? Oregon is closer to CA than Indiana. What does Zalsa have to say about this?

As they should. He's a bigger version of Mariota in some ways, but it remains to be seen if he has Marcus' intangibles and grasp of the offense.

I am stoked to see Blake visit Oregon, which means we do have a shot at him. Though he has been an ND lock for a long time. If we can grab him, all the better

According to rivals writer Adam Friedman, Oregon offered 4 players from the same HS in Virginia Beach, VA today... I recall a certain Virgina obsessed poster whose head must be ready to explode

    4* LB Jahvoni Simmons, 6'2/240
    4* ATH Jaason Lewis, 6'4/246
    3* ATH T.J. Griffin, 5'10/165
    3* S Jahque Alleyne, 6'1/180

I like our chances with Jahque Alleyne, given that his only good offers is West Virginia.

The others, not so much. We already have athletes similar to TJ Griffin, and while I like the offers of Simmons and Lewis, I doubt we will grab them. Simmons has caught the "Virginia Cavaliers" bug, that London is silver tongued despite being a bad coach and Lewis seems smitten with Tennessee. He was committed to UCLA before decomitting. What makes you think he will commit back to a West Coast school not in LA?

From what I've read, it seems Barnett may have made an emotional decision when he committed to Notre Dame. A teammate had been seriously injured the week prior and remains in a coma. I'm sure that rocked Blake and the people around him and he probably wasn't in the most rational state of mind when he visited ND for the first time a week later.

While there is good reason to hope that he decides to become a Duck, I wouldn't be surprised if he visits a few schools before settling on a final choice... we shall see

Oh wow, did not know that. He still remains in a coma?

I can see him visiting UCLA or Wisconsin or Alabama, but I think we pull out and nab him.

Maryland QB Kai Locksley released his top 6 today which includes Oregon. I'm hearing that the Ducks offered him as an athlete rather then QB yet he obviously remains interested.

Atlanta DE Russell Ude names Oregon in his top 3 giving very high praise to the coaches. He says they're recruiting him for the Drop End spot

Lots of news indeed! Love the addition of Heard and our chances with Ude and Lewis.

Mixed reading of the tea leaves on Byron Cowart. On one hand he continues to speak of Oregon as his leader raving about Coach Aiken, looking forward to visiting the state for The Opening and then returning on his own dime later in the summer with Mom to visit the school. But on the other he's stating that he will be a package deal with fellow Florida DLine stud Cece Jefferson. It could be that the Ducks are in the middle of doing their due diligence on Jefferson, but as of now he's got no UO offer and seems to only be seriously considering schools close to home. Rumors from in the know types are that Cece's grades are woefully short qualifying for D1 & Juco is in his future unless of course some SEC school gets creative (wink wink).

rivals 5* Challenge is going on in Baltimore Md. right now so the top rated talents are all being being put on the spot about their favorite schools.

Speaking of which, Missouri WR Alex Ofodile is planning a visit to Eugene later this summer

"build it and they will come"

Virgina LB Jahvoni Simmons states Oregon & Alabama are the two schools that will definitely get OVs in the fall.

2016 class Louisiana DT named Rashard Lawrence stopped by Eugene last weekend and was offered. He's got family in Oregon which is why he was here and he sounds pretty pro Duck. Looks beastly in his Sophomore tape
