Also, it's odd we offer Locksley RIGHT AFTER Murray came and visited. Should be telling how much Murray wants us and Locksley is Plan B, but even then that's hard since his dad is on Maryland's coaching staff.

    Ugggh.

He's a Florida product, so of course the Gators and Noles will offer. And Tennessee offers to everyone. And Ohio State is probably looking at him as backup to Gibson(who I have heard is a heavy lean towards the tOSU)

Still, to offer him right after a Murray visit, Kai coming up here eventually? It says of our luck trying grab those guys. AKA, not good. Then again, the last 3* QB to come here to Oregon was Mariota, and Manziel was a 3* as well. I'd like to grab Manziel-clone Murray or Locksley as a consolation prize, but I suppose Francois COULD suffice(but he's no MM from what I can see in hudl). Plus, the fact that we havent bothered offering Waller and White, who have GREAT interest in us is a bit discerning. Do the coaches know something we don't?

In other news, 247 has us getting Oseland big time. That's good news on the Lineman front.

of course not, we've got recruiting sites & highlight videos. The coaches only know the recruits, their parents, teachers & coaches personally & have done this professionally for decades. How is that supposed to stack up to the minutes I spend daily reading rivals tidbits?

be mystified by Oregon's interest if thats your preference, but UO almost always offers lots of prospects at single positions and of course its been pointed out many many times how inaccurate the recruiting sites are. This is especially true of their early rankings of players... they get closer to holding water following the kids Senior year. Speaking of recruiting sites, ESPN has Deondre rated as the #47 best overall prospect in the country

mums the word. Though I'm sure Hopkins, AJ & the like have placed their respective inquiring calls, there hasn't been a public peep as near as I can tell. If I were a top prospect trying to find the right school & program, I'd probably take the same tact. Maybe Kyler's dad is steering him to play his cards close to the vest to keep the media circus at bay as he wades through his options as that seems how he's conducting himself in general.

fingers crossed though, Kyler looks like a real talent

Same. I want him bad most of all. Though if we lose out, it's going to be due to daddy pressure and staying in-state. No way is he going to tOSU or Clemson. Or Florida for that matter(why do so many kids want to go to Gainesville or Virginia Wahoos. They did horrible last year)

Damn Trojans. Why can't they know that Sark is overrated. At least Mora is legit.

In other news, Chuma Edoga commits to USC. Everyone thought he would be a Tennessee commit. I've heard he has family in LA, which is one of the reasons(that and fucking Sark).

Though this makes me nervous in regards to Taj. Edoga might get in his ear and USC could get a package deal

Also, TAMU has been showing some interest in Waller. This could be a play to put the pressure on Murray, or they plan to get 2 QBs(as Joeckel transfered and Hill is suspended, thus Kyle Allen is the starter).

I can never understand our coaches

great shot with Cowart, despite florida fans saying he secretly committed to them. murray long shot, oregon dudes switched away from kirk where we have pretty much 0 shot at now.
New WR offers out, but pretty much no or not much news recently.

Very good news about Cowart. Talk about less interaction is more. Flaw-rida fans are delusional.

Indeed, despite 247 has Oregon on WARMER alongisde TAMU, the only way Murray doesn't go to College Station is if Sumlin jumps for the NFL after next season(which is possible) or some scandal rocks TAMU. Francois might be our best option at this point, given how Locksley's dad is the OC for Maryland.

It's sad to hear about Kirk. What made us stop talking to him? He's a top west coast prospect and can fit in perfectly in Oregon's system. What went wrong?

Oh? New WR offers? To whom?

back from a week of snorkeling & Bone fishing in Mexico with the fam and thrilled to read that they landed their top RB prospect Taj Griffin... what a stable they've got! Their top QB prospect (Murray) is supposed to be announcing eminently (hearing TAMU fans are very nervous) and the two highest rated DTs on the West Coast (Kahlil McKenzie & Rasheem Green) are visiting Eugene on their own dime this weekend.

    :bwpopcorn:

    how are the Blazers doing?
