I'd be okay with hunter, he may be the next Klay

    Christian Wood is interesting.

He's most compared to Henson but he's much quicker/athletic than him - and Wood is out of shape with his 15 bf%.

Put him on an NBA diet/routine program - currently at a skinny-fat 218 lbs - and you have a much different prospect.

I think Whiteside is a better comparison, as far as ceiling.

    Whiteside: 9'5" reach
    Wood: 9'3.5" reach

Willy Hernangomez is close to signing with Real Madrid.

Strike him off the list unless you can buy into the second round.

Via Jabari Young: Blazers met with Montrezl Harrell, compared him to Ben Wallace.

Just watched the upshaw interview on DX, had some pick up game clips, the dude is shooting 3s and facing up on the perimeter, fancy dribbling...not what I expected.

Upshaw's 9'5" reach, which is identical to Shaq's btw, I'd hate it if he were to turn into a jump shooter.

With Hernangomez signing with Real Madrid, Hunter and RHJ rising , my revised top-5 for pick #23:

    1a: Christian Wood
    1b: Robert Upshaw
    3: Montrezl Harrell
    4: Cedi Osman
    5: Jarell Martin

    Justin Anderson still poo?

And what do you like about the trezl? Seems like an end of the bench guy.

Anderson -- He's more athletic than Crabbe but isn't a better prospect IMO. Coming out as a Junior, Crabbe had better numbers across the board - on both ends.

Montrezl -- Energy and potential on defense. Explosive leaper with a 9'1" reach - you could plug him in at center if needed, too.

Wood -- Upside pick, has potential to be a stud on defense. The 9'4" reach and quick leap, he can be as good as Whiteside after 2-3 years of NBA weight training. A player that I'd definitely trade up for.

I'm kind of hoping Bobby Portis drops to us. I really like his game.

you shouldn't use college stats to compare guys.. Cuz none of Kentucky's guys had "great" stats. Anderson is miles ahead of Crabbe IMO. He's a better defender, way more athletic, better at attacking the rim and a better rebounder.

    Harrell seems like T-Rob 2.0..

How about st. John's PG Rasheed Jordan? I think he's a player, doesn't have one obvious strength is just good at everything. Smart, great decision maker, tough, solid shooter, can go to the rim, draw foulz, good defender, unselfish. What do you say?

Me too. Very versatile and has a money jumper. Also displays a mean streak. Watched him a lot and came away very impressed.

Where would Crabbe go in this draft then, mid 20s? I thought that this was a deep draft, he went 31 in the worst draft in forever.

maybe if we trade cash for a late 2nd rounder. There's no way he's a 1st rounder

God I wish the Blazers had a need for a guard but they don't have a second round pick. Would be great to see Joey Buckets on the Blazers. He probably ends up on the Spurs winning a title.

Any type of trade Neil makes I expect us to recieve a 2nd round pick. If not he'll flip some cash and/or a future 2nd rounder. This class is too deep not to

I think Crabbe would go 45 to undrafted

You gotta get value out of this deep draft...
Crabbe and future second for a late 1st
Frazier and cash for an early 2nd

Draft Anderson, Upshaw, and De Paula, that's my pipedream. This could be the type of movement Neils talking about, instead of something big everyone else is expecting

    Why would hibbert opt out?

I have a feeling olshey would still be interested in hibbert either way. I love robin, but I would rather have roy.
