    It's actually pretty admirable.

That she cares more about her party and the ideas and people it represents than personally running for president is definitely admirable in my opinion.

I actually see your point, VanillaGorilla. But to accept would make Bernie look pretty awful. First, he joins the Democrats just to run for president, then leaves the party when he does not get nominated but pledges to support the nominee, then runs against her. So while it may be principled for Stein it would be totally unprincipled for Sanders.

Well, I don't think he should have endorsed Clinton and he technically is already going to leave the Democratic party since he is an Independent in the senate. But since he did pledge to endorse her I agree, it would definitely have looked bad if he switched parties and continued to run against her. I do think it would have helped change the party/election system, which is very important to me.

I think that he changed the system much more by pushing Hillary and the D Party platform to the left than he would have by running as the G Party candidate and getting a few percent of the vote.

Haha. I am actually a big Obama fan, but I still had to laugh at this. I'm going to miss Obama as president and think his legacy will grow with time. Plus, I got laid by a hot Korean on Obama's initial election night. That helps, I suppose.

Once again, I don't believe for a second that Clinton and the Democratic party will actually stand by what they've said. If Sanders had switched to the Green party in the last month, I'm positive he'd get more than just a few percent of the vote. Also, if you do trust Clinton for some reason, it would likely push her left even more because less Sanders supporters would fall in line with Clinton simply because Trump is a ridiculous candidate.

But, in doing so, Sanders would almost assure a Trump presidency. I think he is smart enough to know that. And I applaud him for the restraint. If I were in his shoes I would be tempted to make a run at Hillary. But, he is being smart because he knows that if he challenged Hillary from a 3rd party, Trump would become president. You can call me the anti-Mags.

I wonder, though, if Sanders were running Green, if some of the people planning on voting Trump because they fear Hilary would be more willing to "throw their vote away" on a non-democrat not named Trump (ie, Johnson).

IMO, the absolute best thing for this country right now would be a legitimate 4-candidate race.

That's a valid point. I personally dislike Clinton, but also think Trump is a human garbage pile. I think that if this election were a 4 candidate race, that neither Trump or Hillary would win. It's just not going to happen.

If I can get enough of you to donate I'll run for president.
