12:48 p.m. ET:Andre Drummond and the Detroit Pistons have reached agreement on a five-year maximum contract in the $130 million range, according to league sources, with a player option after the fourth year, writes ESPN's Marc Stein.
Isn't there a 5 day wait period after changing agents? It doesn't matter much because he can't officially sign with anyone for 5 days anyways but still interesting.
Agents can be a big part of the deal. Neil is tight with Howard's former agent Dan Fegan but Dwight's new agent doesn't have any other NBA players. http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2016/3/18/11261678/dwight-howard-new-agent-shaquille-oneal
Indy will sign Al Jefferson for 10M\year, that's really cheap for a very skilled big man who can give you 16 and 8 every night. I wonder why Neil didn't explore that option too, a Davis-Jefferson frontcourt sounds pretty balanced imo, gives us a major offensive threat in the paint and the financial risk is pretty low.
Oh yea, those two... It's still the opposite from his M.O. last year (going for the lower tier free agents).
