You never trade a proven all-star/all-nba player for a pick that MAY become an all-star.

I trade Lillard to no one.

Unless it's Lebron or Durant or Curry.

Lillard is the ONLY one that's untradeable. It's not even up for discussion, IMO.

Best case scenario for CJ is prime Jason Terry imo.

I did say it would be stupid. However, I fear that Lillard will never be a whole lot better than he is now, and I was a huge proponent of his leading up to the draft. CJ has extremely similar strengths and weaknesses and may end up redundant within the next year or two. If you think there's a can't miss prospect with good knees...

Well then CJ is already basically there. Terry's best season was his 3rd year. Guess what? CJ is in his 3rd year.

Are you saying CJ is capped out already or are you remembering Terry better then his stats show?

I remember Terry incredibly clutch and made plays on both ends of the floor when it mattered. Plus (the Dallas version I consider prime) had stacked teams around him.

Is this new cant-miss prospect going to have the leadership skills right out the gate?

    THAT'S where dame seperates himself.

One year at DAL was his 2nd best year. The stats put CJ in a dead heat with the DAL version though so I didn't link to that one.

Terry was clutch. I think CJ is too but it isn't needed (or given a chance) with Dame.

Probably not. BUT, CJ is practically a clone of Dame in the personality department and could probably step into a leadership void quite capably.

With Dame, CJ being clutch is all that much more needed. How deadly will they be when they can feel instantly who has it and who doesn't and default. This one two tandem is here to stay and has been proving their worth. These two together are already starting to put fear into opposing perimeter defenders and when you add Plumlee and Davis pick and rolls and screens, these two will be able to take over 85%-90% of the games we play in the fourth quarter... or I would think that would be the objective.

Dame is an obvious keeper, but I wouldnt give up CJ for anyone but maybe a Paul George, Durant, etc. And then I wouldnt offer much else.

Kris Dunn is a player. Savvy offensively. I'm wondering where he sizes out at in the pre-draft.

As of now, Ben Simmons is the top rebounder in all of college basketball at 14.4.....and he is known for his passing where as a point-forward, he is getting 6.2 per game.

Lillard is the heart and soul of Rip City. How many times have we YEARNED for a start to embrace the city of Portland the way he has? Not only does he have a flair for the dramatic, but by all accounts, he's a freaking All-Star in the community as well. He's the type of player you build around, not trade to improve the roster. Did I mention he's still just 25?
