I've been watching some videos and reading up on Tim Quarterman, he has good size and passing ability could be a good guy to pair with CJ or Dame when needed.

Ford believes Uthoff is a first-round darkhorse.

    Zizic is his fastest riser.

Low ceiling is right; anyone shorter than 6'10" needs to shoot the three in the NBA...

Hey wasn't it last season their was this Russian guy you were backing that opted to miss the draft? Vezenkov or something? Is he still a guy that's good?

Hernangomez. He's a solid prospect that NY just offered a four-year deal.

His p&r defense is still below average though. That's going to take time, especially in this era.

Fez - You seem to track these European players... so two questions for you.

    1) Blazers hold the rights to Daniel Diez. Is he any good, and should we try and bring him over?
    2) What are your thoughts on Juan Hernangomez?

Diez barely plays - 18 mpg. Last year he shot 41% from three, this year 35%. But it's such a small sample size. When he shot over 40% he only averaged 1.8 attempts per game, 0.8 this year. We might as well assign him to the D-League and develop him there.

Juancho is viewed as a better prospect than his brother. He shot well from three. The year before he never shot from three more than once - every 10 games, this year he was given the green light and shot nearly 40% -- New era face-up PF. Lock to go late first.

You might be thinking of Aleksandar Vezenkov. He's a Bulgarian who was MVP of the Greek League last year and then signed with Barcelona. I was pretty high on him so I followed him a little. Barcelona has a tendency to destroy the NBA credentials of young prospects. Rubio, Papanikolaou, Abrines and now Vezenkov are all players who've come to Barcelona with fanfare only to look bad (although Abrines looks a bit better now). I thought maybe Vezenkov could be like Jorge Garbajosa, somebody who made up for slow feet with a great feel for the game, but Vezenkov has, I think, too much working against him body-wise. (Although not as much as Dani Diez, our draft pick last year, who I guarantee will never sniff the NBA).

DX and other outlets are more than questioning the standing reach numbers at this combine.

Many prospects measured much larger reaches at various camps - all pretty much consistent.

Fwiw - Maker measured 9'5.5" last year putting him in the Porzingis territory.

    Kristaps: 7'2" (w/shoes) has a 9'6" reach
    Maker: 7'1" (w/shoes) has a 9'5.5" reach

If we can get him in the 2nd round, I'm liking me some Thon G Rain-Maker.

id like the sixers to try and fuck the lakers somehow. trade their pick to someone who wants simmons so the lakers have to trade up or something.

with how many 2nd rounders and how much opportunity they have had to play them, the 76ers have been pretty miserable at unearthing talent. you would have thought they might have found at least 1 average nba starter after all of the extended tryouts they have been giving these clowns.

Maker's post game (jab-step & drive) is eerily similar to Jermaine.

Body type and athleticism are very similar too:

Fot all you guys who are saying I'm partial to local basketball players. Well.... I'd just like to say that we should draft GP II, but NOT because he's a local player.... but because..... because..... because..... AHHH SHIT!!!

Jermaine was my first thought upon viewing the Thon Maker footage.
