Jerry West is the only one ever. I believe that award was also the first Finals MVP.

Of course. The W's drafted 3 All Stars and deftly managed their salary cap to create opportunities to add top tier talents Iguadala and Durants. They've continued to draft really well getting quality minutes in game 5 from a 2nd round pick rookie McCaw & plucked an unwanted JaVale McGee off of Free Agency... McGee's PER this year was 25.2!!!

To Blazer Roy's bitter points, I'm not sure that coveted FA's will ever sign in PDX but nothing prevents them from drafting well and adding awesome unwanted Free Agents. If Neil were to hit a few home runs in this draft creating a dominant team with a real chance to compete, who knows... maybe they will come too?

Warriors are a very well run franchise in the recent years, it must be said. Their draft success has been immense, it's not like Curry and Thompson were extremely high picks either - they were both late in the top 10. Actually, their highest pick in the last 10 years, no. 6 overall Ekpe Udoh, failed there.

I've always thought that the Blazers were so close to a super team of their own, but injuries derailed it. Had Roy and Oden remained healthy, to go with Aldridge and Batum--they would have been the most talented team in the league and none of those players were expensive yet. They even had Travis Outlaw who hadn't yet dropped off a cliff as a trade chip.

I could imagine a good free agent wanting to join that group.

Bad math. With 7 matchups and 2 possibilities for each, the potential outcomes are 128 (2^7). 7 possible selection options result in a 1-6 record, meaning the possibility of going 1-6 over 7 finals is 5.47%.

Yeah, good catch. It appears he calculated the chances not to just go 1-7, but to go 1-7 in exactly the way SAS did.

But the point isn't the math, NERD. It's about SAS and his overall terribleness at everything.

    Proud to be a nerd.

Seriously though, that Mackowiak dude should have just stopped with his first tweet with the graphic. It was perfect in its simplicity in communicating Smith's ineptitude. He screwed it up when he tried to go next level with his misunderstanding of probability.
