Draftexpress has released their latest updated mock--has us taking Anunoby at 16, Rabb at 20, and Giles at 26. Can't say I'd be upset with that outcome, although I feel like all three of those guys are 2 years away from being any kind of contributor.

Anunoby is the second coming of Aminu? Is that right?

They aren't clones, but project to have similar skill sets.

Main difference is I think Aminu is the more fluid/explosive athlete, while OG is bulkier and more mechanical.

Things are started to click for me with Frank Ntilikina. Was a little down on him early, but when I started viewing him as more of a versatile defender + ball handling 2 rather than a primary creator, he became a lot more appealing as a prospect.

I don't like Rabb. PF size with C skills. Not a good offensive or defensive player. Wouldn't touch him with a 1st round pick.
    -----------

I love Anunoby at 16. He reminds me of Kawhi Leonard when Kawhi was coming out of San Diego State. Lets just look at the measurables for a second:
Kawhi Leonard: Ht: 6'7 Wing: 7'3
OG Anunoby: Ht: 6'8 Wing: 7'6 (Reportedly)
    That's a BEAST right there.

His form looks good and I think he could easily be a better shooter than Aminu or Harkless. He'll be better than both unless injuries fuck him over.

    -----------

At 20, Ike Anigbogu would be extremely interesting if he's available. He's only 18 and won't turn 19 until October. Would be a project but he has potential to be an elite rim protector. There's many players that appear to be going into the NBA this year that people thought were gonna stay at least another year. This is one of those players. That's good news for us and our 3 picks!
I don't like Rabb though. I also don't like Leaf, Lydon, Kurucs, or Hartentstein all that much. Mitchell is an undersized 2-guard which we don't need. Giles would be a good pick here, but I think it might be smart to try to wait for him to fall to 26th.
THEREFORE, I think we should try trading 20 and a future 2nd to Orlando for the 25th and 35th picks.

    -----------

With Orlando's 25th pick, I'd want to take Semi Ojeleye. There's just something about this dude that I like. I think he could be a good small-ball 4. He's well rounded, strong, and athletic, and has drive. If not Ojeleye, one of Leaf, Kurucs, Hartenstein, or Lydon will be available. I'd feel better taking one of those guys at 25.

    -----------

Giles at 26 if he's available. Would be awesome. A top 5 talent. No risk, high reward pick.

    -----------

We'd then have the Magic's pick at 35th. I'd try to trade this down further. The 76ers have 4 second round picks, and will probably try to trade some. I'd trade the 35th pick and a future 2nd/cash (if possible) for the 39th and 49th picks.
At 39th, I'd take one of Robinson, Bell, Brooks, Motley, Hart, or Bryant.
They have Bryant going 41st, he'd be a good pick at 39. A potential rim-protector with shooting potential.
At 49th, DX has Edmond Sumner available. He just suffered a torn ACL this year, but is a first round talent when healthy. He's a 6'5 PG with a 6'8 wingspan who can defend and has "lottery caliber" (DX) offensive potential. Would be a good pick. Not much of a risk, with the potential to be a reward down the line and fit with Lillard and McCollum.

    ----------

So we'd add Anunoby, Ojeleye, Giles, Bryant, and Sumner. That's a good haul in my opinion. We'd consistently rotate Ojeleye, Giles, Bryant, and Sumner between G-League spots (we can send 4 down at one time, and have to have 2 down at all times).

I like OG but if Giles' physical checks out I think you roll the dice with him at #16 -- with J. Collins and OG close behind.

OG got better handles than Aminu and he can take people off the dribble still need to work on his outside shot.

John Collins is trash IMO. I just don't think his game will translate well.

The Ducks' Tyler Dorsey is entering the draft. Anyone think he cracks the first round?

Your assignments jibe with mine quite a bit. I was hyping Sumner, Anigbogu and Ojeleye all earlier today in a reply to a @riverman in another thread.

Looking forward to seeing Terrance 2K climb the boards during the combine. Wonder if he will end up being a top 5 pick by draft day.

Sounds like Zach Collins is in w/ an agent.

    Right move for him imo.

I liked Gary Trent Jr. Besides one defensive lapse, he played lock down D and was At-A-LET-ic! The kid going to the Ducks looked solid too. There's a kid last name Vanderbilt that looked like a future NBAer.

He was getting pushed around and stayed around the perimeter. He was throwing up one footed floaters.

    Very Charminlike.

Yep Zach Collins declared and hired an agent, "probably" will go a little before Portland's pick

Nothing like a veteran towel waver at the end of the bench.
