Robert Williams from Texas A and M looks like a low post kind of PF. Great shot blocker and a big body with BBIQ.

Collins has the most upside of any freshman Gonzaga's ever had. Great footwork downlow (which hasn't been sampled too much yet) a smooth jumper and he has great instincts on blocking shots. Dude is super long too. He was a McDonalds All- American for a reason.

I think Portland should take him with our 1st pick....(which will probably be 15). I hope he falls. Some mocks have him going higher, and some mocks don't even have him on the list at all.

They're listing him at 7'3.5" now? Man...tough not to take a second round flier on that if you can.

He probably returns to school. Gonzaga should be even better next year if he and NWG return. Add Novell, Kispert, as well as a more experienced Hachimura and Tillie to the rotation and you have a deadly team with Williams and Perkins getting even better as well.

By his play, youd never know Jakob Poeltl was not born in America.

Too much coaching in college, I guess?

Anzejs is described as a prototypical Spurs player -- High IQ and a team oriented player.

It's his wingspan that is attractive if he can get stronger and put on some weight. 7'7"....insane!

You take Jeanne knowing full well that he's a ways off.

At near 7'4" he's barely over 200 lbs -- an improvement, he was under 200 until last year.

    Speaking of freaks....

Remember Ilimane Diop? Two drafts ago he was (an early) projected mid-first prospect.

Now he's pretty much a lock to go undrafted. He's a freak though: 6'11" with a 7'11" wingspan oO

Before we attained Nurkic, Mick Zagger suggested Bam Adebayo as a PF candidate.
I thought he was too un-coordinated at the time, and just relied on physicality - with no refinement.

However, after re-watching some footage - and with his play of late, I have seen the light Mick!.
A bruising, high-motor guy like Bam could be a great start to adding some toughness to this team.

His jumper/ offensive skill set still gives me pause though. . .

Couldn't we waive him and then resign him for a minimum contract?

His FT looks nice, which is encouraging in terms of finding a jumper.

If he's anything like DeSagana I don't want to have anything to do with him.

True - could probably improve with some NBA level coaching - but his jumper is way shaky - definitely not a natural shooter.
I do like the little jump hook he has been hitting regularly this year.

He can overpower close to the hoop in college - but - does that translate to the NBA where they all are giant, physical specimens? Does he have any finesse/sophistication/skill to his game to go to when his physical advantage is nullified in the NBA? (or is he JJ Hickson 2.0)

Either way, he's playing high motor/effort lately, has shown defensive chops(when motivated) and is physically gifted. Would be worth a look with our Memphis pick IMO.
