yeah eventually. But I can't see how he effects the W-L record
    this year.

"Porter underwent a second back surgery in mid-July and has not appeared in a preseason game for Denver. He said he is considered day-to-day and there’s currently no timetable for his return"

Just like they were supposed to last year, and the year before?

He makes their pathetic defense even worse.

The thing that stands out to me on Denver is the lack of a pure PG. Murray always struck me as a undersized SG with mediocre court vision. I'm not convinced that having Jokic as your best passer gets anywhere better than the 8th seed.

At this point in his injury-riddles career, Thomas is going to give up more points than he score for you.

In BOS, they could somewhat hide his poor defense by surrounding him with a bunch of defensive studs. In DEN, he will be surrounded by a bunch of defensive cupcakes.

I think Milsap was out a ton wasn’t he? I’m sure they would have finished higher last season if had been healthy. We’ll see.

Yep, missed half the season, but he's also nearly 34 and not the same player he was 2 - 3 years ago.

Blazers are better than half those teams.

They were last year, which none of the "experts" predicted, but that's why they play the games. 3 - 10 are going to be VERY tight in the West this year. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Jamal Crawford signed with Suns. I don’t get it. Are they trying to win championship?

They needed a PG badly, and signed an over-the-hill SG. Suns doing Suns things.

Weird trade between the Clippers and Pelicans: Wesley Johnson for Alexis Ajinca.

I guess this saves the Clippers about $900,000 after they waive Ajinca. That doesn't seem worth it to me.

I still think he would have made them tougher to beat.

I wouldn't mind us taking a chance on an old PG. Going into games with a shooting guard as your main backup.... I just wish we had a pure point guard to run some plays.

And old back up PG is exactly what we need. Wish Andre Miller was still around.

My father hasn't forgiven the Blazers for getting rid of Miller for Old Donut Brains. He turns into Frank Constanza about it.

In the 38 games he played, they went 22-16. That's a 47-win pace over a full 82-game schedule. They won 46. So, not really all that much better with him in the line up.

And now he's another year older...
