Sydney certainly couldn't do worse than Sacto. The funny thing is Sydney didn't even make the playoffs last season. Now that they've signed Bogut, they've had quite a few decent role players sign. They've had a poor preseason compared to many other NBL teams, yet pushed the Clippers. That said, the NBL is so even, any team can beat anyone else on any given night. A lot of it comes down to effort, and Sydney certainly brought that against LAC. All NBL teams, even the bad ones, do far more with their salary cap of $1.1 million AUD (no, I didn't misplace the decimal or leave off a zero) than many NBA teams do with all their millions.

A lot of fans gave up on him too soon. I never wanted for him to go (+ his teammates here liked him); when he was here, he showed glimpses (power dunks, defense, etc.) so the video of him ^ surprises me a little bit but it mostly doesn't:wink: I wish/have always wished him well & he's going to have continued success/growth & be pretty good in this league/fine. Like u said though, I'd love to have him back!:smiley-yippee:

That move/dunk by Noah was awesome.

He showed glimpses of that while he was here. The issue was, he never followed it up by consistency. It's kind of annoying that they just dumped him, but one move does not change that he wasn't ready.

The trade for Milovan Rakovic wasn't too exciting either.

And I already have it set to record. Once a Blazer, always a Blazer.

Vonleh had a very good preseason for Portland before 2016-17 too and it did not convert to a good season back then. I think he will still get a year or two to prove his worth in the league but I am not sure he will succeed at all.

Negative-Batum. Numerically, that is calculated, zero minus Batum.

Good for Vonleh. I hope it translates to real-season success for him - this guy deserves it.

Other GMs have the talent to plan a few months ahead, make trades, and easily avoid that situation. Ours has to bribe other GMs to bail him out.
