The symmetry caught my eye too. Younger and cheaper? I wouldn't be shocked to see Trent take over Patty's role next year. Probably WBIII will take over Napier's until Penny is ready.

I think Trent is better than PatCon but Simons has a lot to learn before he pilots a team. Summer League should be fun Simons, Trent, Zach.

nah...I loved Wes as a dog...he hustled, got 50 50 balls ..was a glue guy on defense but I watched him brick so many open court layups and dribble chest high that after his injury...he hasn't been very good...I watched a lot of Dallas games to see him play and it was sad

Basketball athleticism is a thing though. Some players athleticism translates better. Don't see it with Trent. He doesn't have a fast first step, and he isn't quick laterally, nor is he fundamental. Just because Anfernee is talked to in regards with defense doesn't make him good. Khyri is a 2x Big East DPOY. Anfernee is C.J.-esqe. Your argument has substance, so I respect it, I just see it a different way.

Yeah but I think the age difference is a factor as well. Khyri is 22 years old. A lot can happen in 3 more years.

Speed, 3pt shooting, quick hands and good handles are the new game...Curry has quick hands on defense...and he's no physical specimen...teams are all looking for that Steph Curry quick release lights out shooter....the draft is just a fishing pond for a shot at the next Curry

The elephant in the room isn't that we drafted 2 players that will get marginal playing time.

It's ET. He's unlikely to get moved, and he will still get PT. From my understanding, we play
much worse when he's on the floor.

On a side note, Hawks getting Trae makes me think Schroder is looking to get out.

And still one of the youngest teams in the league with a solid performance last year.

I really think that Porter pick will change the landscape of the West in the near future. I really like some of the young pieces on Denver. (Suns and Mavs too)

What’s disheartening about NO is that every poster on here and every basketball announcer/insider/couch all know that PDX needs a 3&D wing yet we don’t target one? I have a hard time believing we couldn’t have maneuvered around the first round a bit? The TPE/24/and one of the richest men in the world can’t get you in front of the bulls(2 spots) or when you saw Porter falling you can’t put the old ballsack on the table and take KF for a year for the chance of winning the b-ball lotto with Porter. Neil just seems real sackless imo.

Neil just said in his interview we are trying to find a veteran wing who's playoff ready....he's said it several times now...it wasn't going to be a rookie
