Yeah we didn’t need a guard.

Probably likes the situation. Good team, good coaches. Teams at the bottom of the first are usually the more stable ones. Assuming it’s Portland, immediate playing time as well. These players’ pay day is that second contract. Minimal short term loss to be put into the best situation to bank.

Please tell me how you mean to "show him" that he's the cupcake? :dunno: WTF? You gonna fuckin' dance battle or somethin?

Newsflash, you're the one who needs a life because trust me, you're failing at the posting of your thoughts to give perspective bit... Another thing, I'm not tryna be your friend either bruh...

rookie scale salary is a bargain now days and the 24th and 26th pick would have been this past year at $2.5 mil total and the 13th pick would be $2.184. The difference between the 13th and either of the other 2 picks is less than $1mil. I don't think that's enough of an incentive in comparison to the type of player that would be available at 13th. For 2019 the numbers will be a bit higher. In a less than deep draft later picks in my opinion would be less valuable than if it was a deep draft. That's not to say a team can't luck out and find that diamond in the later part of the first round but it's much harder than if it is a deep draft. I do agree they have some value, but just not to the extent to getting a lottery pick.

It's not a schtick. I'm being serious. Neil listens to Dame....maybe or maybe not to a fault. If Dame likes him, I think Neil makes it happen

This early in the draft process it still doesn't make sense though for either the Blazers to make a promise or for a prospect to not want to look at all their options.

Thinking... That may be your problem right there... If you've noticed (and I don't think you have) most in here don't care for what you think.

    Bottom line: Stop threatening people.

As I said, that was not a threat... just telling him he wouldn’t call me a cupcake to my face. Can’t stand fake tough guys like you and him that try to bully people behind a keyboard... I’m a business professional in my late 30’s... I don’t fight. And I don’t post my opinion for closed minded people like you who will blindly support Neil no matter what he does... just putting my observation out there for anyone open minded that likes to hear many points of view before deciding where they stand... as you can see my opinion of Neil changed over time... I believe you constantly have to prove yourself and get better... whereas you give Neil a lifetime achievement award

Cheese doodles and that was the 07 draft when he and his friends thought we should trade the Oden pick for Pau Gasol. But yes Stephen A is still on TV 12 yes later

The Ringer isn't a good mock Draft site. No way he goes in the lottery.

Who is his agent? Seems shortsighted.

Edit: just looked it up. His most recent clients are Wade Baldwin, Zach Collins,Cliff Alexander and RJ Hunter who we brought into camp a few yrs back.

    Jeez this is obvious

Plus, I think this would be a great idea no matter who wins the bet. It would give each of you the opportunity to see the other side of things. Of course, I am exempt.

If the shoe fits then don't act like a twit. My age is 63. Now there is no confusion. What's your age cupcake? I don't call "everyone" cupcake. I've reserved that one for you. :devilwink:

Minnesota is going into the summer with almost the same amount in guaranteed salary as we have. Jamal Crawford opted out and Bjelica is a free agent. They only have 8 guys guaranteed for that $110 million. They have the 20th pick and MLE but have no Trade Exceptions. We'll see if they can get any better this summer.

Showing our cards a month before the draft seems like a stupid idea. And this doesn't look like a smokescreen. otoh, if he goes in and kills the workouts, he'd get out of our range.

I'm guessing the team that made him a promise is regretting this news getting out regardless

Funny thing is by skipping the combine there becomes a bit of mystery and intrigue around him as teams wonder what it is about him that led to a promise.
