Some pretty damn good players there! Terry isn't even the best. He might not even be the best point guard...

So we're definitely getting an all star.

    Cool!

This draft is going to be super interesting IMO. Last year it was a bit more obvious as top three was a foregone conclusion before it even happened and you could have kind of guessed the entire top 10/11 while maybe missing 2-3 players by one or two spots. This year the only known is the number one pick, beyond that it is very hard to tell in which order the top 10 will go (even though you can guess 8-9 players that will be top 10 now without any problem). Some players can go from perceived no. 3 to no. 8 and the other way around.

There could also be big trades happening. Last year it was Butler, sort of out of the blue because it wasn’t rumored that heavily, this year it could be Kawhi.

I'm listening to Chad Lowe's podcast and Givony is saying that the good teams love Doncic and the bad teams HATE him - so he really could be available at the Memphis pick. Lowe says "if that happens, there's no way they do the Parsons + #4 salary dump, right?" And Givony thinks that even Memphis aren't really sold on Doncic. Come on Olshey - swing for the fences!

    This made me LOL.

I'd love it too but I don't see it happening.

Doncic with Dame would be crazy. Doncic will make everyone around him better, that’s how smart and unselfish he is. Swapping out CJ for Doncic would be a godsend.

I hope not. He's got a lot of wasted movement in his jumper. Looks like he needs work.

It's literally too good to be true.

You know who should go after Doncic (and probably would if Hinkie were still around)? The Sixers. The trio of Doncic, Simmons and Embiid would be insane. And the Sixers could probably pretty easily get there - they can absorb some salary, they have the #10, they could offer Fultz...

My source hasn't given me much this year, but did give me a couple minor bits recently...

Neither are earth-shattering AT ALL, but would explain why the quiet...
    1. Blazers are burning up the phone lines trying to make "something" happen (he wouldn't say what). Also added that at this point, "who isn't", but he made it sound like we're trying to be aggressive.
    2. EVERYTHING that happens between now and free agency will hinge on/around what happens with Kawhi Leonard... Lots of teams trying to position them pre-draft/pre-FA to have the right package together to get him. Very little that happens between now and then won't have him incorporated in some capacity/strategy.

Again, nothing mind-blowing here, but let's just call this source "well-placed". :)

Man @PtldPlatypus you come up with some great trades, if only you could somehow convince the other teams.

We give up CJ, Turner, and 24

    for

    Love, Parsons, and 4?

    Sign me up!

That looks good from Portland’s perspective though there may need to be some added for Memphis since Turner is not at the same level as CJ maybe a future lotto protected first or AFA. Turner could fill the Tyreke Evans role (he will be a FA) or they could pair them up. Then maybe add Lee with the AC trade exemption. Everyone also expires in 19/20 to be able to reset.

    Lillard, Baldwin
    Doncic, Pat
    Mo, Lee, Parsons
    Love, Collins, Swanigan
    Nurkic, Davis, Leonard

Well, honestly I think the notion of CJ/24 for Love/8 sounds preposterously lopsided in our favor, but I keep seeing it suggested, so I figured maybe I'm wrong. :dunno:

While trade chatter this time of year isn't unusual, there is a growing sense among many team execs that there could be some significant deals early in the draft.

Maybe they'll draft a GM. Are there any prospects with those initials?
