Dallas beating Miami was kind of ho hum. They walked off the floor without jumping up and down really and Dirk immediately went to the lockerroom.

Predictable season, predictable (yawner) Finals judging by the outcome. Whoever was watching that and kept the viewing ratings high must really not have much else going on. ZERO drama.

I suppose it could be said I really did watch the NBA Finals....when the Warriors came from behind after Chris Paul went down and won the West 4-3. That was the REAL Finals.

Tonight sucked but otherwise, it was fun. LeBron's Game 1 performance was one of the best ever and if you missed it, you missed a great one. In Game 2, Curry set an NBA Finals record. In Game 3, Durant put up a fantastic performance. There was lots to like about this year's Finals.

I watched most of it, and I have 3 kids, a wife, a job, have been working out every-day, and in the middle of taking courses for work too. Maybe I just like basketball, so I watch it.

And TBPup, there was a LOT of drama in the final moments of regulation in Game 1. If you missed it, you missed a classic people will remember like Nick Anderson's 4 missed FTs in 1995.

I love pure basketball, which is why March Madness will always be better than the NBA Playoffs.

Parity within a sport gives a person a sense of unpredictability. I dig it.

Even the perceived giant Goliath can be toppled by the little guy David.

Interesting. I can't stand college cuz the good players are only there 1 year. You don't get to follow a career in college, watch them improve and grow together over at least 2 seasons. Granted some players do, but there's just no drama for me. The team changes every year. The only thing that is quasi-consistent in the coach. So you're basically rooting for a coach every year. Yeah, NBA players change teams too but you can follow their story through their NBA career too. I don't know. I'm not being very articulate but I definitely don't like college basketball. I went to Michigan and we went to Final twice while I was there so that was fun but I don't root for them now. If Oregon goes far, I pay attention because I would love Oregon to win something some day since I lived near Eugene.

I love basketball. Play, coach, ref, have worked with NBA teams, agents...pretty much have covered the gamut. But when the outcome is so completely predictable, it just isn't of much interest to me. Last year was pretty much the same.

So someone had a great game in a loss or someone else set a record against an over-matched opponent. All well and good. But from the beginning of the season, the Finals was a 4 to 5 game (at the most series). Just not intriguing for me. For those who enjoyed....glad that does it.

When nearly everyone on the planet knows, including yourself, that you are hands down winning the Championship, when you finally do, what is there to be excited about?

Well you can follow the good players careers throughout high school now.

The games have to be played though and you never know. Warriors were up 3-1 on Cavs in 2016. No team had ever come back from 1-3 in the NBA Finals and the Cavs managed to win THREE STRAIGHT against a team that only lost 9 during the season! Who would've predicted that? And one day, a team will come back from 0-3. So that's why I watch. I don't think it's necessarily predictable.

Do you watch high school games? The only high school game I've watched (outside of when I was in high school) was the LeBron game that ESPN televised live during his senior year.

Sure....but it took a suspension and two injuries to do it. When there are injuries, anything can happen. That doesn't mean the best team won or that it was a great series.

Well it definitely was a great series. Injuries happen. Warriors wouldn't have won any of their recent three championships if it weren't for injuries to Kevin, Kyrie, Kawhi, and CP3.

High school scouting tapes and a few high school games. Watched Tatum, Jabari Parker, and a few others on TV.

Watched Marvin Bagley, Michael Porter Jr., Jontay Porter Jr. in person in high school.

Played against Robert Franks, Peyton Pritchard, and Braian Angola, all who could have a chance at making a pre-season roster.

Other prospects I watch a ton of film on.

And that’s fine, I completely understand but don’t act like because other people do enjoy it they don’t have a life. Look the NBA is frustrating like crazy, my favorite team seems light years away, KD took the easiest route to titles joined up with a great team, and it sucks. Lebrons career is looking a lot like wilts.

I know it’s not ideal, or even close to it, but I enjoy watching Lebron play, I enjoy basketball, and that’s the only excuse I need to watch it.
