I am not sure about setting up your offense to run through a center. When needed sure, but Nurk is the only center on the team who you can do that with and he is only going to average 3o minutes a game.

Lineup of Dame, CJ, Aminu,ET, and Plumlee had ORTG of 113 with DRTG of 95. Best overall lineup pre Nurkic.

Agreed we need shooting next to Dame and CJ, but I would not consider Harkless a shooter. He is adequate for sure from 3pt range and he can cut to the basket. Nothing in between. I think ET would be a better scorer, but yeah Harkless can spread the floor better.

But if you really want a shooter to start at SF, sadly there is only one potential one on the roster. I think if you gave Layman a chance to start like they gave Vonleh in the past, he would surpass Harkless on offense. How much better is Harkless on defensive though? He is better for sure but it's not like he shut down anyone last year.

Not saying start Jake, just that he has the most potential. Of course if ET's 3 point shot improves due to his work this summer then he becomes the best option....unless Harkless improves too. Someone needs to.

Plumlee doesn't need the ball like Nurkic does that's why Turner could've fit better there.

Still makes sense for ET to come off the bench from a fit standpoint.

I know Moes average but at least he commands a little respect.

How would that affect efficiency? If anything that same lineup with Nurkic instead of Plumlee should be even better since Nurkic creates more spacing and demands more attention from a defense.

I can almost guarantee that Turner gets more respect when teams do their game planning than Harkless. And Turner is smart. He knows his limitations. It's not like he's out there jacking up threes.

It's not about spacing it's about touch distribution. The sample size of that line-up is questionable.

I'm all in on not trading for Kanter. A lot of money to spend on a guy to back up Nurkic who can't slide into the 4 spot as well. If we want to trade for a good big with a big pay check, we need make sure he can play the 4 and the 5.

Don't worry, I'll be here when Turner is in the closing lineup while Harkless sits on the bench and then you can tell me how much I don't know about basketball.

I can't wait to see Kurk, Noah, and ET in the paint together. They are going to wreck bitches when they get it figured out.

What's funny about ET/Nurk is when we traded for Nurk I was actually really looking forward to seeing him play off of Turner so it's funny now reading opinions that they can't work together with Dame and CJ. Not saying it's wrong because nobody knows that for a fact, just funny.
